When I had gotten back inside from working out, I was thrown headfirst into an argument with Milo. I couldn't even remember what that argument was about because of how pointless it was. All I know is that we were yelling at each other and being loud. I wanted to slap the stupid smirk off of that stupid half-ram's face. He was annoying and constantly yelled at me for things I hadn't done. I was so sick and tired of him. I used to feel guilty for everything, but it had been several months and we were in the middle of a revolution. It wasn't the time to be fighting amongst ourselves. And yet that's what he'd lured me into. As we were fighting and arguing over whatever stupid thing, Mint entered the door.

"Aqua have you seen my—"

She stopped.

"I'll just... come back later."

Her voice sounded quiet and upset. She clearly had been hurt by whatever was happening. And honestly, I cared more about my girlfriend than winning a stupid argument.

"I'm done with you. I'm gonna go check up on Mint."

For the next hour or so, I couldn't find Mint anywhere. And when I did see her, she seemed perfectly fine.

"Hey! What's up," she asked me, stepping towards me happily.

"Earlier. You came in with Milo and I and left like you were upset. Is everything alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry about me," she smiled.

Yeah, I wasn't gonna believe that.

And then stupid Milo came back in the room and kept trying to provoke me. He was just being annoying and messing around like a teenage boy but then he got horribly personal.

"You'll never be more than a lowlife hypno. I don't know why Mint puts up with you-Oh wait, she's a hypno too. Perfect match!" He maliciously laughed. I had turned to walk away, but I quickly whipped back towards him and clenched my robotic paw against his neck.

"Keep your damn mouth shut about her or I'll rip your face off," I snarled, holding my paw up and unsheathed my claws. I could let him talk about me, but I wasn't gonna stand here and let him make fun of Mint when she hadn't done anything wrong.

He nodded, and I released him.

"Is that all you can do? Threaten people? Pathetic, you'd never actually hurt anyone. Oh wait, that's right! You killed Mushroom."

"Enough of you! Get the fuck out of here!" I yelled harshly, my tail bushed up and my feline ears flattened to my head. Surprisingly, he left me alone. But when I turned to find Mint, she was gone. I went back to our apartment to try and find her, but there was no sign of her. And then I heard sniffling coming from the bathroom, so I slowly creaked open the door. As soon as I walked inside, I saw Mint hugging her knees to her chest on the bathroom floor. But when she saw me, she gasped and tried to teleport behind the shower curtain without being seen. But she slowly peeked her head out, and she knew it hadn't worked. She was teary eyed and her face was red. She had obviously been crying, and there were still tears streaming down her face.

"Is everything alright? You've been acting weird since Milo and I started arguing today."

"I'm... Im fine. I just got a little freaked out when you pinned him up against the wall and started yelling."

Oh. I'd made her upset.

I slowly walked in the bathroom, shutting the door behind me.

"Why didn't you stick around to tell me to stop?" I frowned. I couldn't believe I'd upset Mint.

"I got nervous and left. I'm really sorry. It won't happen again, I promise." She teleported from behind the curtain into the middle of the bathroom.

"Hey, don't go too far. I'm the one who should be apologizing. You have every right to be upset."

I pulled her into a hug, causing her to jump in shock a bit. But she eventually let me hug her once she realized she had no choice.

As she practically laid in my arms, I could feel my shirt getting damp. She was still crying in my arms. I felt awful for making her this upset. I sat down on the ground with her laying her head into my chest because she couldn't reach my shoulder.

"I won't let Milo rile me up like that again, okay? We'll just ignore him and be happy," I comforted, trying to get her to stop crying. It didn't work, but she did eventually stop. She just didn't look up at me or anything else for that matter.

"My legs are starting to fall asleep, so uh, you gotta move." I said, not wanting to disturb her, but I hated the pins and needles feeling of your limbs falling asleep. But when she didn't respond, I slowly lifted her off of me.

She was sound asleep.

I slowly picked her up and headed into the main room of our apartment where we slept. I laid her down onto our bed and gently tucked her in.

As I stood up and prepared to walk out, I heard Mint's quiet murmurs.

"Can you stay in here for a bit? All that crying gave me a bad headache."

I nodded and sat back down, watching over her until she fell asleep. But even then, I didn't leave her side until she woke back up.

Just in case.
