-Remus-
"Every. Single. Year."
The five sixth years looked up to see a red-haired girl staring down at them, arms crossed and shaking her head slightly. A blonde girl stood beside her smirking at the sight.
James rolled off his friends and smiled lazily at the girl, "Lily-Flower! My love! How are you on this fine September day?"
Lily just rolled her eyes and looked at the Hufflepuff, "I find you sprawled out on the floor with these idiots every single year Celia. Are you sure I shouldn't be worried about your wellbeing?"
Celia sat up and smiled up at her friend brightly, "I promise I'm alright, it was just a group hug. I actually quite enjoy them."
Sirius sent the girl a flirtatious wink, "and that's why we do them. Anything for you my dearest puff."
Remus groaned, "what's the excuse for the times you force me into these hugs in the dorm then? Celia isn't there for those."
Sirius smirked, "that's because if she was in the dorm, my first thought wouldn't be to have a group hug."
The werewolf hit his friend on the back of his head causing the Black to mumble out a soft apology. Remus then returned to his spot on the seat where he was before Sirius had pulled him to the floor, legs crossed and a book opens in his hands.
"It is quite alright, I'm used to the comments," Celia answered simply, seemingly unbothered by Sirius's innuendos.
Before anyone could even begin to question what the veela meant by being used to it, Lily cleared her throat.
"Well, Celia, Remus, you both should get dressed in your robes. We have a prefect meeting soon."
"Thank you for reminding me Lily, I will see you all later." Celia smiled at the boys and headed out the door, patting James's cheek affectionately on the way out. The two Gryffindor girls followed after her.
"She's so pretty," Peter swooned as he gazed at the door.
"Damn straight Wormy. She gets hotter every year," Sirius agreed which caused James to roll his eyes.
"Yeah yeah, she's pretty, she's always been good-looking. It's in her blood. Leave her alone Pads. Pretty sure you're not the Black she's interested in." James said as he shot his friend a knowing look.
"Ugh don't remind me, what she could possibly see in his is beyond me." Sirius sighed dramatically.
This caught Remus's attention, "what are you two on about?"
"We're pretty sure our little puffball has a thing for one Regulus Black," James said with a slight snicker, though his eyes didn't hold any humor.
This information seemed to catch the sandy-haired boy by surprise, "Celia and little Black?"
Once again Sirius let out a loud noise of contempt and fell to his back, throwing his arms up dramatically.
"I thought she liked the other boy?" Peter questioned innocently.
"Andet? No, he's definitely deep in the friend zone, he's practically in the brother zone." James replied, shaking his head slightly.
Remus found himself intrigued by the conversation. In reality, he hadn't actually given the Valencia girl much thought. She was kind of like the sun, you don't always notice it's there but you can feel its warmth and see how it affects the world around you. Sure he enjoyed her company and liked the way she brought light into all of his friend's lives. She would bring small potted plants to James when he was sad, sometimes the other boys as well. She'd paint Sirius's nails and listen to him vent. She'd tell Peter how proud she was of him for the littlest of achievements so he wouldn't feel underappreciated. Celia Valencia was a ray of sunshine that much was obvious.
