Two weeks later
"Hyung, don't you think you've done enough work for today?" Taehyun stood at the entrance of the study.
Sitting amid a mess of torn pages and books, Beomgyu typed recklessly on his laptop. He'd had multiple cups of coffee for the past few days and if it was just a day or two, Taehyun wouldn't have minded.
But it just seemed to keep going on. Seeing Beomgyu stress so much over his work made him worry. He had almost completely ignored his health throughout the entirety of it. He worked late till night and ended up sleeping in the study, barely eating or blatantly skipping meals.
But that day, Taehyun decided to make sure that the boy would get out of the damned room and sleep in the comfort of their room.
"I'll be there, Hyun," he answered absent-mindedly. "You go ahead and sleep."
He was tired of hearing this. All he wanted was for the boy to rest for a longer time. "Beomgyu-hyung, you can continue tomorrow," he tried insisting.
"I don't think I'll be able to finish it if I do," he said exasperatedly. "Just a little longer."
"No-uh. I'm not moving until you come with me to bed. You've been overexerting yourself, hyung. You would work better if you slept a little better,"
Sighing, Beomgyu finally stopped typing and looked up at him. His eyes had bags underneath them. His skin seemed to have become paler. Sadness washed over Taehyun at the pathetic sight.
"I'm not gonna excuse you tonight, no."
"But-"
Before he could speak another word, Taehyun barged in and snapped the laptop shut. "Taehyun, what the-"
"I said, no excuses." The younger male didn't waste any time and bent down to lift the dark-haired male bridal style who began screaming and carried him to their room.
"Also, I think you are ignoring me a little too much too," he said the moment he was placed in the safety of their bed. "I miss you, hyung."
Beomgyu's heart softened up at the mention, guilt overtaking him. "I.. am so sorry. I didn't mean to-" A hand to his lips cut him off.
"Shh, it's okay. I'm not hurt or anything. But have you looked at yourself?" he said cupping a side of his face ever so gently. "You haven't been eating properly for the past few days."
"I promise, Hyun. I will- just let me finish this."
"On one condition,"
"That is?"
"You promise to sleep now. Don't work. Just forget about it for a while."
Beomgyu let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. "Alright."
Satisfied, Taehyun rushed to his own side of the bed.
"Is this solely for me or is there a selfish purpose behind this?" Once Beomgyu finished washing up and dressed for bed, he asked Taehyun.
Taehyun let out a small chuckle in response. "Perhaps, it was both."
Sliding into the covers, Beomgyu laid down facing Taehyun. "I love you." he smiled a smile that was reserved just for Taehyun. Even though tired, he could see the genuineness behind it. His fingers brushed against his cheek like feathers, tucking his hair behind his ears. Taehyun closed his eyes, taking in the moment. "I love you too, hyung. So much."
He opened his eyes to find gentle eyes staring right back at him. Unable to resist the urge, he moved forward to give him a small peck on his lips.
