Chapter 20 - Zabini's

Mai POV:

I flew through Dumbledore's office with ease, Hoping the letters will end but to no avail, I sigh softly with a smile at the familiar old man at his desk. I land on the desk and nuzzle affectionately under his hand.

"Hello Mai." Dumbledore chuckles and runs his fingers down my feathers. "You need to go to the Zabini's house to give the letter to the son, After return so I can give you the letters for the Weasley family." I nodded eagerly and takes the Zabini's letter in my beak before flying to the window, cooing a farewell and then soaring through the open window.

I flew through archways and down halls, dodging Peeves while flying through. I smiled as flew through the air, passing the furthest tower and slowly closing the distance to the Zabini mansion.

I circled the building before landing on a window sill, sighing in frustration and knocking on the window with my beak. A house elf answering it shortly after and I took the opportunity to fly into the room, landing on a perch in the corner, looking down expectantly at the House-elf.

"Emme will tell Miss Zabini that an owl from Hogwarts has arrived." The little elf claimed before waddling off to find someone. I took the time to look around the room, It wasn't anything special. Turns out to be a random lounging room I think, Sofa's laid out facing a large fireplace, for the Floo Network I assume. A rug stood underneath the sofa's, giving the room some warmth. Portraits hung on the wall socialising with each other, paying no mind to the bird in the room.

A woman walked in behind the little house elf. "Bird is in this room Miss Zabini." She stated with a smile. I turned my head to them and smile at her, offering the letter to her and sigh in relief as she takes it. 

"Blaise dear! It's for you! From Hogwarts." She called out warmly gently running her fingers down the owls back while waiting for Blaise to come down the steps and into the room. Not too long after being called the sound of tapping feet drew nearer until a dark skinned boy rounded the corner, his dark chocolate eyes peering up at his mother and me. My pale baby-blue eyes lock with his chocolate orbs as he retrieves the letter and opens it, skim reading it.

"I've been accepted to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and Wizardry." He smiled while looking up at them. All I could do was nod and coo an answer. Blaises mother offered a treat out to me and I gratefully look it, chowing down on the small chunk of meat and instantly recognising it as rat. 

I turned to the window and flew out, cooing a goodbye before letting my wings raise me into the sky and bang against the air before diving down to a nearby forest, landing on a nearby tree branch and moving my beak to my wing, taking out the loose feathers from both wings.

After a quick wing ruffle, I took off again and began to head back to Hogwarts.
