Phils pov
After I slept over dans through the weekend, we had to go back to school. I think there's going to be some commotion if people find out Dan and I are dating. But who cares.

Yesterday as I walked through the door of my house my parents came to me and said that I'm joining some kind of air cadets that has locally opened
"What do you mean I have to?"
"Well, we want you to get a good job when your older, and I think this'll be a good experience for you. You can take Dan with you as well."
"Ugh, fine you've persuaded me" I couldn't say no to taking Dan with me.
"By the way it starts tomorrow, it's on Fridays too"

So I asked Dan when we were walking to school together. (hand in hand obviously) And of course he said ok. So we're going tomorrow.

At lunch I met up with two of dans friends, pj and chris. They knew about Dan and I but, when we got into school the bullies started calling us names and really. I just used my powers without anyone noticing and gave them a wacking.
"Hi Dan! Hi phil!" Pj said
"Come sit by us" Chris said , so we did. We couldn't tell them about our wings because we can't trust anybody.

After a few weeks of going to cadets we were finally in uniform. But it was kinda boiling in final parade. But I got really infuriated. I don't know why.
And as the squadron leader was explains something I could feel my wings coming out of my jumper.
"You have a feather on you" whispered the kid behind me.
"Just leave it alone" I whispered back, then just as about as he was going to pull it out I flew up and drew my wings out. Everyone gasped except for Dan.
"He's an angel" someone said
"There are no angels, he's an avian hybrid, just like me." Dan explained and drew his wings out and flew up to me.
"Don't worry we won't hurt you."
"THEIR MONSTERS" Someone screamed
"No their not, their wonderful normal people, just with wings." said the squadron leader "and I also want to give them both a promotion to corporal" he said as Dan and I flew down, to shake his hand and receive the promotions.
"You two deserved these, I knew you were avian hybrids I just didn't want to say anything."
"How could you tell sir?" I asked
"Well, all the kids that were misbehaving, they weren't while you were looking at them so I figured, also I have been reading up things about you guys and well your different to everyone else"
"Thank you sir" we said simultaneously

When we got into my mothers car, Dan asked me if I could sleep over his again.
"Can I mum?"
"Sure, I mean you've just gotten a promotion, you deserve it. "
So I spent the weekend at dans again.
