Ya Haidar, can we visit Hajiya Mama please? I tilted my head to his direction.

"No" he replied immediately I closed my mouth without even looking at my direction.

"I miss her a lot. It feels as if it has been ages since I last saw her, ya Haidar" I said pouting.

"I said no and my no is no!" he said in his bossy voice.

After he said that, I knew he was never going to change his mind so I kept quite and turned my head towards the window. I was delighted to see students dressed in different school uniforms also coming back from school just like me. Most of them where happy as they kept playing with each other, some of them were chasing after their friends for reasons best known to them while some of them were holding the hands of their younger ones as they try to cross the road. I smiled to myself wishing I was the one holding my siblings hand but the moment I realised I was never going to experience such a thing in my entire life, the joy in me vanished.

I wish I had siblings who I can walk to school together with, I wish I can gist with my friends after school or even play with them but unlike those students who trekked to school and still trekked back home someone is there to take me to school and still pick me up after school. It sucks to see people living the life you wished to live. I mean, it just sucks - why can't I live my life the way I want to? Is it really supposed to be like that? Ugh, that sucks. The most frustrating aspect of it is when Ya Haidar picks me up from school, he will never say a single word and when you try starting a conversation, he will say to you in his bossy and annoying voice "ke! I'm not in the mood for your blabbermouth right now!"

I sighed without uttering a single word.

Because I was very angry with him, I exited the car even before he packed it properly. He should have at least let me see Hajiya Mama even if it's for five minutes.

"Assalamu Alaikum (peace be unto you)" I said my tsaleem before walking inside the sitting room.

"Wa'alaikum Salam, Uwar miji (peace be unto you too mother in-law) welcome back"

"Thank you Umma" I replied her calmly before walking sluggishly to my room.

Through out the whole day I wasn't myself, I lost my appetite for food and the funniest thing is how I became calm over night. There was no night chat or play with my love because I slept off on the prayer mat were I prayed Isha (is one of the five mandatory prayer and if counted from midnight, it is the fifth prayer of the day)

Kawu Abdullahi and his wife Hajiya Mariya, are the only parents you have left in this world. They both love you and will always stand by you. Respect and obey them Adaweeya! Always seek for their blessings and insha Allah you will forever be happy in your life my daughter. Seeks for there advice before doing anything. His children are your siblings. Respect them, obey them just the way you will respect and obey your elders cause they're above you. They have always been understanding, caring, and supportive to us and most importantly stop troubling Haidar, Adaweeya! He is your elder brother who loves you even before I gave birth to you. Follow him, Respect him, and always do whatever he asks of you my daughter.'
