You've noticed something different about Damon, but couldn't quite put your finger on it.

You watched as Elena and Damon were laughing with each other as they spoke.

This has been happening for the pass weeks now.

They always laughed with one another while being comfortable, too comfortable.

Elena touched his arm and gripped it while whispering in his ear.

You couldn't make out what she was saying, but whatever it was made Damon bite his lip smiling.

You looked away with tears building up in your eyes. You didn't know what to think or say.

You didn't want to believe it, and so you didn't and that was your mistake.

Stefan watched the interaction while sitting beside you and tilted his head.

He looked back at you to see tears welting in your eyes threatening to spill.

Stefan wanted to kiss every tear you kept wiping away.

He knew the feeling all too well and wanted to get you through it, even when you're in denial.

" Y/N? You ready to go, I'm going to take you home.", Damon says not even looking at you.

You cleared your throat and looked over at Stefan to see the look of concern in his eyes.

You smiled and rubbed his shoulder, " I'm okay. Okay? Goodnight, Stefan."

Stefan looked at you and gave you a small smile, " Goodnight y/n."

You smiled at him and got up walking towards Damon whispering to Elena, " Let's go!"

Damon jumped and rolled his eyes when you weren't looking. He felt his conversation with Elena was way more important, but he had to take you home.

You got in the passenger seat slamming the door after you while Damon got in feeling chipper because of Elena.

You didn't want to believe he was cheating, you needed to see it before your own eyes.

And not them just flirting with each other either. You needed more evidence before you drop the man you love. 

You and Damon drove to your house in nothing but pure silence.

He wanted to try to talk to you, but from the look on your face, he decided otherwise.

He didn't understand your frustration and didn't want to argue with you either. Well, not tonight.

Damon pulled up to your house and unlocked the door.

He didn't even give you the kiss he always gave you when he was about to say goodnight and from that point on you thought your relationship was sinking little by little.

You got out and slammed the door almost breaking it. You walked to your house hearing Damon hit the steering wheel mumbling curse words.

You could care less what the hell he felt about you slamming his door as you walked inside your house hearing his car speed off.

You sighed while tears rolled down your eyes as you made your way upstairs to your room only to find Stefan already there.

" Oh, did I forget something?", you asked wiping your tears only to get stopped by Stefan putting his arms around you hugging you.
