AMARA D'AMORE DOES NOT BELIVE IN LOVE. Which, given the fact that she was the daughter of Anteros, the god of requited love, was a little ironic. She couldn't believe in love when she saw her mother gone driven nearly mad when the alluring and captivating man with a charming smile told her he would love her until the end of her days and gave him the hope that they could last forever. Until, he leaves her pregnant with Amara, and her reveals that he is an olympian deity, the goddess of required love and he can not stay.
She could not believe in love when love only seemed to end only in heartbreak.
Amara grew up to despise love because she had seen what it had done to her mother and she has seen what it has done to others. Yet, she could never seem to escape love, as she had the rare ability to see soulmate marks, or more accurately, the marks of someone fate has forever destined you to fall in love with.
She refused to tell anyone of her abilities, as it is not her place to say who should be together and she didn't want the questions of who is their soulmate, and instead focused on training to to be a powerful demigod and a strong member of cohort one.
Warriors are not made to love after all.
However, after one too many acts of rebellions that do not fit what the romans represent, she is demoted to cohort five, the worst cohort of all. Apparently, just in time for a handsome sea green eyed boy that carried the goddess Juno across the river and revealed to be a son of Neptune with no memory to join the camp.
As if that wasn't worse enough, she discovers the handsome boy with no memory, Percy Jackson, is her soulmate and she is to join him on a quest to rescue death itself with her new cohort members Hazel Levesque and Frank Zhang.
Amara D'Amore does not believe in love but she does believe in Percy Jackson. After all, their love is written in the stars.
