Baekhyun: Love, I just got out of the studio.
11:03PM

My lips automatically formed into an upward curve as soon as I read his message. I had been waiting for him, not that he told me to wait of course. This had been our routine, kinda. On those nights when he had to stay out late for work, he would text me as soon as his schedule was over. Receiving updates from him without me asking was heart fluttering. Considering the fact that we had been together for over two years.

Me: I see, someone worked so hard again today, hm.
11:04PM

I replied as soon as I could, feeling a bit sad that he had to go home late like this.

Baekhyun: I'm all good Love, don't worry. Give me a minute, I'll call you when I reach the car.
11:04PM

Receiving his response, I decided to close my laptop. Whatever I was doing could wait, I thought. Well, I didn't really do much anyway as I was just stalling, waiting for my day to end with him. I stood and vacated my desk to sit comfortably on the bed.

He called me after three minutes.

"Hey love." He greeted as soon as answered his call.

"Hi." I answered, the corners of my lips turning upwards as the sound of his voice.

"Is it okay to talk to you? You aren't tired yet?" He asked consecutively.

I shook my head as if he could see me. "I'm fine Baek, I was actually waiting for you."

"Ooh really?" He responded, obviously teasing me. "I love my clingy girlfriend." He added, letting out of a small laugh.

"Shut up Baek." I couldn't help but giggle at how good his laugh sounded in my ears.

"Love, let's switch to video call, I'm about to leave." He suggested.

"M'kay." I agreed as I tapped on the video icon.

In a matter of seconds, I saw him on the driver's seat. He was wearing a white, long sleeved top. His long hair naturally parted in the middle. He looked comfy and cozy. My heart actually hurts that I wasn't with him right now.

I rolled on my bed, finding the most comfortable position while my eyes never left the screen of my phone. I watched him put his red seatbelt on before turning the engine on. One hand on the steering wheel and the other one on the gear, he glanced at me mouthing a silent I love you. Then he smiled my favorite smile, the one that reached his eyes.

The way the butterflies in my stomach reacted to the little things he did was a natural thing. I had to admit that there was something so heart-fluttering watching him driving.

He drove out of the basement and of the building and I was just busy watching him all the while. Honestly, I would ever get tired of this view. He made a turn before he glanced at me once more.
