A new life (HawksxDabi)

The new job

The next morning Hawks checked up on Dabi before going to his new job at endeavor's agency. He walked into the lov hideout and straight to Dabi's room. 

"Hey, how are you feeling?" 

"Better, why are you in your hero suit? I thought you were off today." 

"About that... I shut down my agency... I work for endeavor again." Hawks said, trying to avoid eye contact with Dabi. 

"Hawks why did u do that??" Dabi asked in a louder tone than before 

"Dabi I had to! What if he tried to kill you again? I couldn't risk you getting hurt again! I can't lose the love of my life over some asshole." Hawks said, falling to the floor crying 

Dabi got up and sat on the floor in front of Hawks 

"Hawks... no matter what you're not going to lose me. We are engaged after all." He chuckled at that

Hawks didn't respond but instead pulled Dabi into a hug making sure to not hurt his wounds. Hawks knew that the love of his life would be there for him no matter what and that he would do the same. Hawks knew endeavor was a horrible person but he sure as hell always got what he wants, he was slowly starting to understand why Touya ran away in the first place. 

Hawks left the lov hideout and headed to endeavor's agency. He couldn't even get into the building because of how much press was outside. 

"Hawks! Why did you shut down your agency and come here?" 

"Hawks! Please tell us why you shut down your agency!" 

"Hawks why did the number 2 pro hero have to shut down his agency and work for endeavor again?" 

"Hawks do you ever planning on opening your own agency again?" 

"Hawks, was it too much to handle?" 

Hawks tried to get through the press, but there were too many of them and way too many questions. He became frustrated very easily. He kept trying to push through and push through but they kept pushing back and putting microphones and cameras in his face. He was about to just answer their questions when endeavor came outside and everyone went silent. 

"Hawks won't be answering any of your questions. Now I suggest every single one of you guys leave considering you are on my property." 

None of the reporters protested because they were all scared of endeavor. They gathered all of their things and left. Hawks walked into the building with endeavor following behind him. 

"Hawks could you meet me in my office?" endeavor asked, already walking that way. 

"Yeah." 

Hawks followed endeavor to his office and shut the door behind him. 

"Hawks I'm very aware how you don't want to be here, so what made you change your mind?" 

"I realized I still wanna be a hero and if that means I have to work for an asshole like you then so be it." 

"Well, then you're gonna be on patrol for a few hours today and then your doing the night shift tonight and tomorrow." 

"Okay Boss"  

Hawks left his office and went on patrol, after his patrol he flew straight to the lov hideout. 

"Hey, hawks!" Toga said, jumping up to hug him

"Hi, kiddo." 

"If you're here for Dabi I wouldn't go in there yet" 

"What why?" 

"Well he got into a fight with shigaraki and he hasn't cooled down yet." 

"Oh, what was it about?" 

"I'm not sure," Toga said, moving back to her spot at the bar. 

"Well, I'm still gonna go in there, wish me luck," Hawks said chuckling as he walked down the hallway. 

He knocked but there was no response. He knocked again but still no response so he just let himself in. He saw Dabi sitting on the bed with music blasting in his ears. Hawks walked over and pulled the earbuds out. Dabi paused his music and looked over at Hawks. 

"What are you doing here?" 

"I came to check on you, are you okay? Toga said you got into a fight with shiggy and-"

"If you're gonna ask what it was about, don't bother." 

"Okay then, how are you feeling?" Hawks asked, now a little farther from Dabi on the bed. 

"Fine." 

"Okay well I have a night shift so I'm gonna go home and take a shower. Call me if you need anything. Love you" Hawks said making his way towards the door. 

Hawks stopped for a few seconds, hoping to get a response but was left only with silence so he left. 

Dabi felt bad about not letting Hawks know what was going on but he was too pissed off to talk about it. So he sat there, wallowing in self-pity wishing he could be more honest about what was going on.
