Kara shook her head again, not wanting to open her mouth and drop what she had inside of it.

"If you make me get up I'm going to kill you"

Lena pinched the bridge of her nose and got up from her lab station, walking over her very hard-headed wife.

It only took about ten seconds for Kara to spit out the chemical covered glass that was in her mouth before Lena even got close to her.

Lenas eyes left Karas, only so she could examine what it was exactly that she had tried to consume in the first place.

"Is that-"

She cut herself off to look at the now broken beaker that was once filled with a pink component.

"Kara."

"I-"

"Kara."

"Le-"

Lena reached out to grab a handful of Karas hair, pulling her down so she could hear her.

"Ah, ah, Lena-"

"Kara Zor El."

"Yes Lena?"

"Ah! Ms. Luthor, I'm sorry, I'm- ow"

"If you don't get it together I will make you go home, and I swear to God you won't hear from me until it's time for us to test out my serum, I will treat you like a lab rat, a fucking subject only meant for testing, you won't get to talk, in fact, I don't even need you to test the serum, you won't be apart of this at all, and we both know you don't want that, so I suggest."

Lena paused, tugging Karas hair quite harshly.

"You get your shit together."

When she let Kara go, the blonde looked like a wounded puppy, but, she quickly sat in the corner with her hands folded in her lap, her eyes on the floor and her mouth sealed shut.

No, do not apologize, she deserved it.

She might cry.

She always does that, she'll get over it.

Look at her.

Absolutely not.

Lena snapped her eyes up at Kara and immediately regretted doing so when she saw tears rolling down the blondes cheeks, and when she saw her quickly wipe them from her face, she knew she was done for.

She hastily walked over to her wife and gently lifted her jaw to kiss her softly, smoothing her hair down and out of her face.

"I love you."

Kara sniffled, nodding at the statement, her mind too clouded for her to return it immediately.

Lena didn't stop staring in her eyes for a second, making sure to catch them every time she tried to look away, she needed to hear those words, it was confirmation that they were alright.

"I love you too."

She smiled slightly, pecking the corner of Karas lips, then her forehead, making sure she was really okay before she went back to work.
