Reassurance

Kara never came back after leaving that afternoon, Lena actually hadn't heard from her at all that night, and when she woke up the next morning, Kara was nowhere to be found.

It wasn't new, stuff like that happened all the time, but she couldn't help but miss the blonde, in fact, when she got to work she didn't even want to look at anyone, not even Jess, she had become increasingly bitter and people were quick to notice it.

Kara on the other hand had no idea how swamped she'd end up, it wasn't that Lena wasn't on her mind, it was just that she literally didn't have time to use her phone, someone had hacked the system and ruined all their progress, so now they were probably going to have to put them all back by hand, calling every company and retracing all of their steps, it was all so stressful and she couldn't help but feel slightly responsible, even though it could've happened while she was here.

"Take a lunch, you have time, yeah well now all my time has been used up by this!"

"You know Ms. Danvers you could try a little harder to fix this instead of pacing around like a nervous maniac"

"What the fuck did you just say to me Adam?"

The curly haired brunet shut his mouth and walked away, going into his office and locking himself inside.

Beep Beep.

"What?"

"Ms. Luthor?"

"Oh hello Adam, is something wrong?"

"No, well I'm yes, you see Ms. Danvers swore at me, and I guess I deserved it, but things are really getting out of control here and I was wondering if you could come fix it"

"Okay yeah sure, I'll be there in a little bit"

"Thank you Ms. Luthor"

"No problem Adam, stay where you are until I get there."

She hung up the phone and grabbed her things, walking out of her office and into the main elevator.

"Ms. Luthor-"

"Take a different elevator"

The young mans face dropped and he quickly stepped out of the elevator, Lena didn't feel bad in the slightest bit considering he always gave her a hard time, she thought about letting Kara meet him but there was no way in hell she was going to risk that, Kara was too friendly, she did not need her buddying up with someone who would probably drive her to commit assault in the office.

Ding.

The elevator reached the main floor, Lena walked out of the building and straight to her car, the drive over to LuthorCo was quick, considering the fact that it was only two blocks away, it was astounding how she could hear the amount of commotion from outside, what was going on in there?

"Well maybe if you didn't flirt with Jessica so much, you'd know what your sales were!"

"This coming from the guy who presses the automatic button on the computer so he doesn't have to fill out spreadsheets!"

"Everybody shut the fuck up!"

The room soon grew quiet at the sound of Lenas voice, Kara herself was shocked by the presence of her wife, she hadn't expected to see her here at all.

"Lena-"

Lena snapped her head towards Kara and glared at her, shaking her head.

"My apologies Ms. Luthor, why um, why are you here?"

"I'm here because someone called me and said you guys were acting out, so now I want to know what the fuck is going on"
