When I woke up the next morning, I noticed Nash was still sleeping. I hear a phone, go off and I figure it was mine! I noticed, it was Nash's I answer it and I hear a familiar voice
"Nash, it's rick I need to tell you something and I don't know if you should tell Mel."
I look around confused
"You there"
"Yeah, what do you need to tell me." I say in a guys voice
"We found out that, when they were doing surgery for Kelly they gave her a MRI just in case and they think she might be paralyzed from her right shoulder to her right hip.."
Tears run down my face, I hang up the phone! I throw it on the couch and Nash is sleeping still go figure. I go in kitchen and look out the really big window we have, I gaze out into are yard
~FLASHBACK~
Mom, dad and me were outside playing
"Momma, pass me the ball before daddy gets it!"
Mom throws it to me and I run to make a touchdown but dad tackles me softly and tickles me, I'm laughing really hard
"Daddy stop!" I say laughing really hard
"Hey dad, can you check on the hotdogs? I'm gonna burn them"mom laughs
"Yeah, one second"
Daddy gets up and runs inside he takes the hotdogs off he grill and puts them on the inside table.
"C'mon my two pretties time to eat"
Mom picks me up and takes me to the door than she lets me down and starts chases me to the table
"I call sitting in the middle"
Mommy, daddy and I laugh together
Daddy puts the food on the table and we all eat the delicious food we had spreaded out all of the table
~end of flashback~
Nash walks up behind me, he puts his hands around my waist and kisses my cheek
"Hey cutie."
He notices I've been crying for a while
"Why were you crying.."he asks softly
"Oh. Uh. We'll Rick my stepdad called you and he told you..we'll me that mom might be paralyzed from the right shoulder down to her right hip"
I say crying
"Oh..I'm sorry! It'll be okay, yours mom a tough girl like you are. I'll be here for you, every step of the way. I love you" he turns me around and kisses me on my forehead.
"Thank you Nash! For everything, being here on this earth and being the boyfriend that I've always wanted, I love you❤️"
We hug and Nash pulls grasps my hand pulls me to the couch, he sits me down
"Watch, tv or something I'll make some food."
"thank you." I say in a soft whisper
"Your welcome princess"
I turn on the tv and i start to watch pretty little lairs, while my perfect boyfriend was making me food, life's okay right now, but all I need is my mom with me to make it better and complete, I thought it to myself.
~5minutes later~
Nash, finished making bacon and eggs he brought me a plate with some orange juice. My phone goes off, I get up and answer it
"Hello?"
"Baby, it's mom"
"Mom" I say in a tight whisper as I start to cry
"Baby, come up and see me please I miss you and I need to talk to you."
"I'll be right up there, love you see you in 15"
I hang up and grab my charger behind the couch, my purse, keys and put on my slippers.
"Where you going?"
"Mom called me she needs to talk to me"
"Want me to come?"
"If you wouldn't mind"
Nash puts our plates on the counter and grabs his phone, slippers and my hand. We walk out the door and we run to the car, we get in and I start the car, I back out. Nash puts his hand on my thigh
"It's going to be okay, I promise."he says with a smile
"As long as I'm with you"I smile back
He looks at me
"Are you really wearing my sweatpants"
"Yes, I am there comfortable, and thanks for letting me borrow them."
"Yeah, no problem."
We pull up to the hospital, we get out of the car and head through the doors I put my phone,keys in my purse than Nash and I lock hands. We walk pass the desk lady and right to the elevator, I press 2nd floor than we head to moms room, we walk in and see her laying in bed.
"Mom?"
"Hi baby"
"Are you, feeling better"
Nash and I walk closer to the bed
"I'm doing a little better, oh hi Nash thank you for taking care of my baby girl"
"It's not a big deal, I love taking care of her."
I smile and he smiles back
"I'm glad, so Hun...Rick called and told Nash about it. So I thought since I'm your mother I should tell you.."
"Mom...I know already, Rick told me...I answered Nash's phone, it said unknown number and I didn't know who it was.."
Mom looks at me with tears in her eyes
<MELS POV>
I was hoping my mom wouldn't cry
"Baby, I'm sorry:("
"It's not your fault mom? It was the accidents fault"
"I just hope I'm not paralyzed than I can't hold my granddaughter..."
"Granddaughter??"
"When you and Nash have a baby girl"
"Haha, soon I hope" Nash says
I turn around and punch him in the side of his arm
"shut up😂"
Mom giggles
The doctor comes in
"hello, I'm Doctor Philips, I have some news for your mother about..if she's paralyzed or not and when she'll be able to leave"
Mom gasps my hand while I hold tight onto Nash's hand
"We'll, your mother is not paralyzed! And she'll be able to leave today if she would like too, but all we gotta do is do some blood tests and than you guys can take her home."
As the doctor leaves, mom starts crying
"Mom it's okay:) your not gonna be paralyzed"
"I'm so happy:)"
I kiss Nash and hug him tight
"Told you it would be okay"
Nurses come in and do blood tests
~5minutes later~
Doctor Philips comes back in
"You guys can leave now, but Ms.Rose be careful okay, I'm writing a note to where you can be home for a while you just need to rest and recover from your surgery"
"Okay thank you" mom says as she grabs her clothes and heads to the bathroom, she comes out in sweats and a black hoodie that says "stay strong troops❤️"
I grab my purse and Nash's hand we walk out to car, mom sits in the passenger next to me and Nash sits in the back I back out and we had home
~15minutes later~
We got home, I help mom get out and lead her inside, I lock the car and Nash follows. I lead mom to the couch and have her sit, I run upstairs as grab her pillow and blanket. I put the pillow behind her and cover her with the blanket, I hand her the remote
"Do you want a drink mom?"
"Cold water in my cup thanks, sweetie."
I get her favorite cup with the straw and put ice and cold water into it and hand her the cup. I walk over to Nash that's siting on the stairs.
"Thanks for today"
He puts his phone done and grabs my hands and pulls me towards him.
"Your welcome." He smiles at me with his amazing eyes
"I'm in love with your eyes"
"Ha, thanks and I'm in love with you"
He pulls me closer to where are lips meant and touch..we kiss softly
"So about what your mom said today about a granddaughter..." He smiles
"Nash, I'm only 17 and your 18 so how about not yet.."
"Oh so that's not a no?"
"But that's not a yes either it's a maybe.. But not now"
"If we did have a girl she would look just like you and act like you"
"An how's that?"
"She would look amazing and beautiful and she would act like you, crabby and cute"
I shove Nash in a gentle play and he laughs
"I should get going, my mom probably wants me home for a while, text me please!"
"Always do. Love you"
"Love you too!"
He kisses me and let's go of my hand, I shut the door as he leave and walk Into the living with my mom and see that she's about to pass out, I sit on the other couch and grab a pillow and blanket I lay down and charge my phone.
"Hey, sweetie"
"Yeah? What's up mom"
"I'm gonna, take a nap. Can you lock all doors, windows and shut all blinds"
"Yeah"
I go shut and lock all of the windows and close the blinds in the kitchen, living room and the whole entire upstairs I come back in the living room
"There all shut" I say while laying backdown
"Thank you hun" mom says as she's quickly fading to sleep, I watch her sleep for a good 5minutes to see if she's alive and okay, than I start to fade into a nap because I'm really tired, I pass out not even a 3minutes close my eyes.
I woke up at 4:30am and saw mom still laying on the couch, it was thundering really bad. I hear moms phone ring, so I answer it
"Hello?"
"Kelly?"
"No, Mel who's this?"
"Rick."
"Oh, sorry didn't see the contact"
"Hows your mom doing?"
"Good, why are you call at 4:30am"
"I got really worried and plus I was wondering if I could come stay with you guys?"
"Uh sure, yea I don't think my mom would mind Okay, thank you I'll be over ASAP."
"Okay" I hang up the phone and than my phone goes off from a FaceTime call and it's Nash
He smiles at me
"Hey, babe I miss you"
"You look so cute laying in your bed(:"
"You look so cute in my sweatpants and hoodie"
"I look, "cute" in everything according to you"I say sitting on the couch in with a dr.pepper in my hand, after I take a sip the doorbell rings
"Who's at your house?"Nash asks me curiously
"Rick, he's staying with us for a little to take care of mom"
I open the door and let Rick in
"Burrh! It's so cold" Rick says, I get chills
"Where's your mom at?"
"Living room sleeping, I'm gonna head upstairs."
"Okay"
Before I head upstairs I grab my charger, purse, keys and dr.pepper I head up stairs talking to Nash
<MELS POV>
"Hey sorry, I was talking to Rick" I say while plugging my charger in ad putting my purse with my keys on my dresser, I crawl into my bed and get under my warm comforter
"I wish I was with you right now..."
"Tomorrow at 3 you can come over and we'll go in the basement with our 85'inch and watch a movie or show"
"Okay. Sounds good to me just as long as I'm with my beautiful princess"
I smile and blow a kiss to him, Nash blow ones back
I love you"
"I love you more" I say
"I love you most"
"Not impossible"i say as I blush
"Yes impossible"
"Are you tired Nash?"
"Yeah"
"We'll you should get some sleep? We'll hangout all day tomorrow"
"Noo...I don't wanna leave you"
"But you need sleep hun"
"Your sleeping with me"
"Really, cause your sleeping with me" I chuckle
~5minutes later~
Nash is passed out and I think to myself I shouldn't end the call because he'll be mad and I don't want that...so I let it be and fall asleep..
