The Battle

She fought.

She fought for the people she loved.

She fought for what she perceived as right.

Though no one would see this battle.

For this battle left no mark, made no sound.

Everything that was wrong seemed right.

Or perhaps it was the other way around.

She fought with herself, a battle raged but no victor was to be crowned.

She was polite, kind and quiet.

She was stubborn, catty and inconsiderate.

She never had an attitude to those above her.

She never let things go and spoke her mind.

She fought.

Never sure of who had the advantage that day.

In the end, she will lose everything.

Yet, she will fight until her dying breath.

When the battlefield is drowned in the darkness of Death,

There will be no crowned victor.
