Say Hello

21 3 5

Say hello to them,

The foggy mornings when the sun timidly peeks through the trees.

To the squealing bundles of joy,

To the quiet before the storm,

To the suspense of battle.

Say hello to them,

The first love,

The first heartbreak.

To the last swing,

To the last tear.

Say hello to them,

The first smile,

The first step.

To the head held in shame,

To the head held high with pride.

I, in turn, will say hello to them,

The ones you knew,

The ones you cherished.

I will say hello to them,

Who wear the white robes,

Who glide on feathered wings unseen.

Say hello to them,

One and all,

Big and small.
