Chapter 28 - Road Trip

Eleanor's P.O.V

We got up at four to load the van with blankets and pillows.

"I'm so excited!" Sophie squealed as she jumped up and down.

"Same!" I said as I threw myself into the blanket pile.

"No!" soph laughed, "Get out we need to get the flasks and stuff!"

As if on cue Jinxx came to the back of the van carrying a thick Tesco bag with all of the picnic things in.

"Thanks." I said as he handed them to me.

We were going to take it in turns to drive since it's such a long way.

"We got everything?" I shouted back to them.

"Yeah!" they yelled back.

"Okay!" I smiled as I started the van, "BYE GUYS!" I waved to soph's mum and dad.

We set off down the road and we drove towards the motorway. It was five now and cc kept falling asleep on Andy. Haha. Awe! We passed Tesco and Mcdonalds and got on the motorway towards Blackburn. It was dark and silent. Nothing much to talk about. We were on the part of motorway where they had switched off the street lights to 'save energy'.

"Hey, Harlow. Will you pass me one of the tapes please?" ash asked.

"Sure!" she said as she rooted through the box. She handed him one of the tapes and he put it in the tape player. He pressed play and wanted dead or alive by bon jovi came on.

"YASSS BITCH!" soph yelled. "I LOVE THIS ONE!"

"SAME!" I cheered. Le bon jovi tape is playing. :}

"Much fab." Harlow laughed as she made the creeper face at me in the mirror.

I put the window down because it was sort of hot in the van.

"TURN IT UP!"Jinxx shouted when living on a prayer came on. We had just entered the outsides of Blackburn where the houses were on the side of the motorway.

"OOOOOOOOOH WERE HALF WAY THERE! WOOOOAH! LIVING ON A PRAYER! TAKE MY HAND! WELL MAKE IT I SWEAR! WOOOOOAH! LIVING ON A PRAYER!" we sang. I heard a rev of an engine and a man on a motorbike, who looked about 70 started to play air guitar!

"ROADTRIP?" he yelled over the sound of the engine.

"YEAH!" I yelled back.

"HAVE FUN KIDS!" He shouted as he set off.

"THANKS!" ash laughed.

"Starbucks anybody?" soph asked as she pulled some money out of her backpack.

"YAAH!" Jake cheered as he threw his arms up in the air.

"ell pull in!" soph said. I pulled into the Starbucks carpark and I got out of the van and opened the door for the others in the back. We went in and ordered to go.

We got;

Honey and almond hot chocolate for Chris and joey

Tea for Jinxx and Danny.

Cookie Frappuccino's for me, ash, Soph and Harlow.

Iced vanilla latte for Jake and Andy.

We paid and got back into the van. The sky was starting to get a little bit lighter. It was a bluey pinky purple colour.

"pretttttttttty!" Harlow said as she got her phone out. She took a picture of it and posted it on Instagram.
