"i thought you said it would stop after your first trimester" i held des's hair back as she threw up, crying lightly but i could still hear it.
"Shar i'm pregnant. it won't stop!" she wiped her mouth and shut the toilet, flushing it before falling into my arms, laying her head in the crook of my neck.
"des we can't just sit on the bathroom floor" i chuckled and she sniffled, looking up at me. "come on"
once i got her back to her bed, i turned on her tv on and sat next to her, letting her lay on me so she could fall asleep.
"you know i gotta go once you sleep, right?" she nodded.
"Pick me up some iced tea?" i chuckled and nodded making her smile.
"aside from just throwing up, how you feeling'?"
"okay i guess.. just feel sick" she pulled her shirt up, revealing her bump. "graduations in two months.. i've been missing so much school for her, shar. what if i don't pass-"
"you will. and if you don't, then ima have a long ass talk with them, ight'?"
she just looked at me, like she wanted to say something but was deciding if she should say it or not.
then she leaned up and kissed me
