George slowly looked at each of the pieces of armor and tools in his inventory. All netherite. All real. He let out a breath as he stared at himself.
How? How could this be real? He had been dreaming. Right?

During the following weeks, he would meet with DreamXD in his dreams every night. DreamXD slowly learned to act more human as the days wore on and George taught him about the world and the etiquette and morals that came along with it.
Interestingly, he started to look more human as well. George assumed it had to be because he wanted to blend in better. Being as tall as the god is with his three sets of wings, floating rings, cloak with blinking eyes, and mask, he needed to excel in fitting into this place.
Also the more George hung around this god, the more he was reminded of his dream, the human one. He had thought about visiting the prison on more than one occasion but the opportunity never arose. He had just been sleeping so long. Until now.
For the first time in days, George was fully awake, so he decided he would go. Just to see. DreamXD always seemed hesitant to talk about Dream but would sometimes mimic his voice like he had the second time they had met. Every single time George felt a weight in his stomach that was almost painful and felt like it might crawl its way out of his throat at any second. He hated it, so George began the journey to the Pandora's Vault, the massive and very complicated prison holding Dream.
When he got to the entrance, after walking across the field of grass, he paused. A sudden flurry of anxiety crept up inside of him.
He can't do this. It has been so, so long. And he lost Dream's shield and Sapnap hates Dream. This is such a bad idea.
No.
He takes a deep breath in, holds it, and exhales. He steels himself, trying not to think of what Dream must look and act after all this time.
A voice calls out across the field. A familiar voice.
Quackity.
He turns away from the entrance to see Quackity riding up on his horse. A smile already on his face at this welcome distraction.
