{LIAM'S POV}
We both got out of the car and I led Taylor to my door. I opened it and I saw my dad's face turn from the TV to us. He rushed over and gave me a hug, pretty much choking me.
"Liam, where have you been?! You didn't text or call me!" He cried.
I sighed and rubbed my neck. "I stayed over at Taylor's house. And, sorry, my phone died." I said apologetically.
"Taylor?" My dad said curiously and looked at Taylor. "Oh, your the kid who helped Liam get home when he peed his pants at the party a while back!" He exclaimed shaking Taylor's hand. Taylor gave a confused look and then just laughed.
"Uh no dad. He's not the kid." I said in embarrassment, trying not to look at Taylor to hide my blush. "And anyways, I just sat on water." I pointed out.
"But you said-" my dad was cut off.
"ANYWAYS. This is Taylor from first grade. You don't remember him?"
"Hmm." my dad stared at Taylor getting a close look, a hand on his chin. Taylor shifted uncomfortably.
"Uh how's it going Mr. P?" Taylor said trying to start a conversation with him.
My dad nodded in response and continued to stare at him. Taylor looked at me and I shrugged.
"Nope! Don't remember him." My said said leaving back to the couch. "and next time contact me!" he called before turning his gaze back to the TV. I rolled my eyes and walked Taylor to my room.
"Sorry my house is so small... it's kinda hard for a single parent who works at a grocery store to get a big house." I laughed and Taylor smiled.
"Nah it's fine." he assured me. "So you got any games?"
"Mario Kart?" I asked and he nodded.
"I'm boss at Mario Kart." he declared, confidence in his voice. We began to play as I decided to start a conversation.
"So don't you find this kinda... weird?" I asked.
"Find what weird?" He responded staring at the screen.
"Well we were in love in elementary school, we stopped talking completely, you moved, and years later we're here playing Mario Kart." I said not moving my gaze from the screen.
"Yeah I guess it is weird." he laughed. When it ended with me losing and him winning he turned to look at me. "Liam, now that I now everything was a misunderstanding... I would go back to change everything. I should have talked to you. I should have been the one to break all the sudden silence between us. I'm sorry."
I blushed at how sincere he was being all the sudden. "Well I should have done something too. You know, now I just feel like I've wasted all those years doing nothing, when I could have been with you." I said leaning forward.
"I never forgot about you, Liam. I never could." he said also leaning forward. Our lips got closer and closer and I waited for out lips to touch, just like they had in first grade.
Taylor whispered something that I didn't catch and his lips touched mine. I kissed him back and he entwined his fingers with mine. We finally pulled apart and he put your foreheads together. He pulled away and smiled. Would he ask me to be his boyfriend?
But when he picked up the controller again I knew he wasn't. He smiled and handed me my controller. I weakly smiled back and took it.
