"When I said that I loved you I meant that I loved you forever."
Darjeeling was the one to break the embrace, sitting back up. An awkward silence filled the cabin. Kay decided to be the first one to break the silence.
"I never thought an uptown girl would taste so good." She let out a loud sigh.
"That's what you have to say about that!? You didn't even let me make my mind up!"
"It was the heat of the moment, alright? Can you please calm down?" Kay finally sat back up and watched for what Darjeeling would do next. "Would you like me to do it again?"
"I'm just so confused right now. I don't know what to do. I've never been in a situation like this before." Kay tries to sooth Darjeeling by running her fingers through Darjeeling's hair. It seems to work well as Darjeeling stops fidgeting.
"Do you want me to drive you back to the hotel?" Even though Kay looked on the outside like a boisterous child, she had a soft side for when the time was right.
"I guess you can. I need some time to think about all this." The ferris wheel finally finished its go-around, and the two girls got off.
"You don't mind if I held your hand, right? I'm fine if you don't want to. I'm just kinda curious."
"If you'll be a lady about it, then yes." Kay intertwines her right hand with Darjeeling's left hand as they start the walk back to the car. Darjeeling attempts to hide her blushing by raising her right hand over her mouth. Kay notices this action and brings it up while they continue walking.
"You're enjoying this aren't you?"
"What gave you that idea?"
"You're over there blushing about us just simply holding hands, and you seem to have calmed down enough to be close to your normal self."
"No, I'm not blushing." Darjeeling turns an even darker red. "I can't tell if I'm enjoying this or not." They finally arrived back at the car. It was just like how Darjeeling left it when they got here.
"Am I still driving, or have you cleared your brain enough to be the driver?"
"No you can drive, just try not to break the transmission."
Kay attempts to move the car, only to stall it. "Man I look like an amateur right now." The second time, she's able to get the car moving and out onto the streets. For most of the drive, it was complete silence with Darjeeling staring out the window, still contemplating herself. Kay was gawking at the architecture of the buildings around them.
Tonight's hotel looked like something straight out of a movie. The outside looked like a mix of an old firehouse and an old cottage that you would see out in America. On the roof, it had a larger neon board that read "Hotel Lindrum."
"Is this the place?" Kay pulls up in-front of the hotel.
"It should be."
"Do you want me to check-in for both of us or will you be able to do it yourself?"
"No. You can do it for both of us. I'm still lost in my thoughts."
Kay got out of the car first, before running around to get the door for Darjeeling. They get their supplies from the trunk of the Jag before entering the hotel. The interior was somewhat minimalistic. An art-deco style chandelier hangs from the ceiling over top of the check-in counter. While there wasn't much in the way of diversity in the colors, it felt homely and warm. Kay managed to check them in but there was a catch to it.
