MonSteRs In Hiding
Chapter 1: The Great Escape of the Government
We were at the top of an old abandoned house in Crystal City, Colorado. The building we were hiding in was old, built in the early 1900's, the walls were made out of rotten wood and the roof on top the hidden attic had lots of small openings, so it was the least of all places to look for wanted children, but some how the government had found us... again.
It wasn't a big surprise they found us again. I mean they have been tracking us since I was only five years old, and that was only six years ago. I should be used to it, but I was really starting to panic this time.
"Just shush up for a while. They have new highly trained dogs out there. All those dogs are just thinking about tearing our insides to pieces and having them for lunch. The poor dogs haven't eaten in about four weeks. I feel bad for them, even if they want to eat us. Hey, have you gotten control of them?" my older brother and best friend, Isaiah, asked still whispering and letting out a low growl after one of the dogs thought of something I'm not mentioning.
There was loud barking from the bottom floor. We were on the fifth floor in this fragile building. "It's too bad boss won't let us blow up this excuse for a town. It's just a piece of junk, there no reason and why can't just kill these creatures yet boss wants to us this creatures as weapons .I wonder if it's has to do something with his son." I had been reading the thoughts of an agent.
A picture of a young boy about my age popped in to the agent's mind. He had pale skin and dark brown eyes. I continued to listen to th agent." So what if he was born a creature. A mutan." The agent pictured memory as a baby was being born. When the baby came into view, it had been a mutan, a dino like creature, just like my brother and I are, well, in the inside while we're transformed.
The creature was green with black and yellow patterns and had spikes on his back. Suddenly, the creature was surrounded with a golden cloud and when the cloud disappeared a human baby laid in the doctor's arms. The baby had transformed, just like all of our kind can.
"All I know is that ever since his son was born he stopped being so gruesome with these monsters from hell!" Well, this is interesting, I'll tell Isaiah later, but now I needed to concentrate.
"Almost. OK, I'm in their minds," I answered back. I concentrated a bit more even though I wasn't trying to do much at all.
I calmed them down and the barking down stairs stopped. I made them think as if they were pups again, so I'm assuming that the agents were having a hard time right now.
" What is this place? Hey! Let's go find a small thing. I think I saw a mouse pass by! Just bite you're leash, it'll come right off!"
I was now hearing what one of the dogs were thinking. I looked outside through the small opening we use as a window. I saw the dogs chasing a bird and there were more troops than I had expected. That wasn't so bad, I've fought more than these, and I'm surprised they didn't bring more.
"What are we going to do now? We can't just go through those troops without getting assassinated with they're machine guns. The only place they aren't surrounding is that emergency exit we built long ago but we never got to test it out. What if it breaks? What'll happen?" I asked impatiently.
"Can you stop panting? You sound like a fish out of water." Isaiah commanded, pointing down stairs.
His pale skin showed in the darkness. He came out from the darkness in to the dim light coming from the small window. He was wearing a black jacket and pants, just like I was. I closed my mouth.
