Chapter 1: The New Student In Class

(Hannah's / Raccoon gris POV)

"Wake up Hannah, you're going to be late to school. I've heard rumors spread around the school about someone new joining the classroom." Gazz shakes me violently again and again. I groaned and checked the time on my phone. "I'm going to be late for school!"

I rushed to put on something, so I don't know what I put on. I grabbed some cookies from the pantry and was running off to school. I tripped over my own feet while running to school and fell with a big thud.

"Ouch! Why am I so clumsy this year, last year I didn't trip over my own feet like this." I grumbled, while trying to get up off the ground. I winced at the pain that the fall made. I wobbled a little bit when I got up on my feet. I continued to walk to school and talking to Gazz. "Why me, just why is this happening to me? I'm a super heroine, a klutz and I have to deal with Chloe's bullying every school day."

I took a breath in and out slowly, taking in the fresh smell of pastries that the Dupain-cheng bakery is making. "Why is it so tempting!? I could just be in the bakery for a few seconds..." I started to drift off, then Gazz tugged my midnight blue hair. "Ouch!? What was that for?" I suddenly remembered that I'm supposed to be in school.

"Oh, yeah I have school. I shouldn't have been up so late last night." I yawned softly and rubbed my eyes. I groggily walked up the front steps of François Dupont High school, out of the corner of my eye I spotted Alya, Marinette and Nino chatting with each other. *Ring Ring* The bell just went off, at least I made it to school two minutes early. I walked over to homeroom.

The door was open already, so I just walked right inside. I sat down in the back left row of seats, my seat is the one that is closest to the aisle between each row. "Phew, I made it just on time." I yawned again, but this time the yawn was a lot louder than expected. Everyone laughed at me. My cheeks turn bright pink with embarrassment. I even see Daniela out of the corner of my eye laughing as well. My cheeks become a darker shade of red, like Nathaniel's hair.

I cover my face with my hands and put my head on the desk. I would have started to bang my head on the desk, if it didn't make so much noise. I moved my left arm, so that there is a little crack of light. I use my left arm as a place for my head to rest. My right arm was still on the desk. The suddenly Mrs. Busier walks into the classroom, with someone who I don't recognize.

My mind is racing in circles and won't be stopping anytime soon. Daniela, she's all that has been on my mind recently. I lift my head up from the cold, dark wood desk. I look towards Daniela. I blush frantically, a shade deeper than my cheeks normally are. Just seeing the back of her head make me blush. I feel like I'm Marinette trying to have a conversation with Adrien, around Daniela. I chuckle slightly, so that nobody hears me.

"Good morning class, today we have a new student, her name is Lila." (LIE-LA! I just had to put that in there.🤭) "Hi everyone, My name is Lila Rossi." The brunette waved at the rest of us. "Hi Lila." The class responded.

"Lila is going to sit next to Hannah for the rest of the school year." Mrs. Buster announced pointing over to me, I can't help but smile and wave. I am so excited to meet Lila, I can't wait to get to know her more. Lila walks over and sits next to me with a bored expression on her face. "Hi Lila, hope we can be friends." I say enthusiastically. Lila looked at me and smiled. "Hey, your name is Hannah right?" I nod. "Hannah, I do hope that we can be great friends." The thing I like the most about school is making new friends. I'm what you call an outgoing person. 

Daniela on the other hand is the complete opposite, she is more shy and timid. She doesn't open up to people often because that is out of her comfort zone. When she met me, she completely went our of her comfort zone and introduces herself to me. Which I know must have been very uncomfortable for her to do that.

We have been friends for a while. A couple of months ago found out that I am bisexual. I have a crush on Daniela, but kept denying the fact I did for almost a year now. I realized this at like 3:00 am. Right after I had patrol with cat noir, I have been up all night thinking about my sexuality.

"I can't fall asleep, Gazz. I have too much on my mind to go to sleep." I whisper while pacing back and forth in my room. "Hannah, you need to sleep. What would happen if Hawk Moth released an akuma tomorrow? You won't be up for the job because you'll be too tired. "But I can't, Gazz! My mind is like a busy highway right now!" I whined. "Every time I try to fall asleep, I instead think of Daniela. Why is this happening to me right now!?" I close my eyes trying to sleep, but then an idea popped into my head. "H-hey Gazz... maybe I like Daniela." I pick up my phone and search up signs of a crush. The main signs are

1: fast heart beat whenever they're around.

2: Smile too much when they're around.

3. Obsessive thinking about them.

4. You do weird thinks with your hair when talking to them.

5: You start to get really hot / have sweaty palms.

6: Blush and stutter around them.

I start to panic and violently shake. "Oh my gosh, I have all of these when I am around her. But, I'm sure I was straight. No wonder I only like girls, guys aren't my type. So, that must means... I'm lesbian." I gasped and suddenly everything snapped into place.

"I feel like I'm not lying to myself anymore. I honestly thought for all of my lift, that I was straight, guess I'm wrong." Gazz patted me on the back and hugs my cheek "I knew there was something in you that you didn't know! Congratulations for coming out!" I shushed Gazz, because it's 3:00 am. "I probably should get..." *Yawn* "some sleep."
