Chapter 14: Back to the Front Lines

On floor 40, David and Ashley have started dating and gone to their first date while Kirito and Asuna continue their honeymoon on Floor 22 and Simon and Ruby have started to hang out. David is seen laying on his bed thinking about what Saber said about a third AI.

Flashback

David: You're both AIs?

Saber: Yes. There are supposed to be three of us, but she went missing.

David: Three...

Flashback ends

David: (Who is the third?)

Ashley: David?

David: (sees Ashley) Hey, Ashley. What's up?

Ashley: Are you ok?

David: I've been thinking about what Saber said before.

Ashley: You mean who is their third sister?

David: Yeah, but I can't figure out who it is?

Ashley: Yeah. It is strange.

David: Come to think of it. We never seen Strea in battle?

Ashley: She only goes after weak monsters in the lower levels. Strange.

David: And we never saw her at the Town of Beginnings until the 56th floor.

Ashley: Could she be the third AI?

David: It's possible but we can't be certain about it.

Ashley: Anyway, I got a message from Simon.

David: What does it say?

Ashley: He said that we have to get ready.

David: What for?

Ashley: The frontlines are heading to try and finish the game.

David: Right. Let's inform the others about this.

Ashley: Actually, they already know. Lirio told Team RWBY and the rest as well.

David: Ok.

Timeskip

Rosey: I can't believe it! The whole recon team was wiped out!

Simon: And no sign of the boss either.

Excalibur: You've gotta be kidding! What happened?!

Simon: They walked into an anti-teleport crystal zone.

Lirio: Heathcliff sent twenty players from five guilds to investigate the boss to prepare for the fight. But when the first five reached the center of the room, the boss appeared, the door closed and it and wiped them all out. A few minutes later the door opened and there was nothing left. The boss and the ten players have disappeared.

Simon: Just what is going on?

David: We gotta hurry and clear this game.
