I really don’t know what happened to me. We were playing soccer in the field. When I got substituted, I decided to change. I was heading towards the gym lockers. I picked my gym bag,  and went to the showers. While I was showering, I heard a loud noise coming from the gym locker’s door. I was finished and quickly changed into my school uniform. I sat down the bench in front of my gym locker to rest when someone covered my eyes and mouth. I don’t know what was in the handkerchief but it made me dizzy to lost consciousness. But I can feel that he carried me.

I don’t know why but I can hear Xavier’s voice getting closer. He was talking with someone, a teacher I think. I tried to open my eyes and saw him talking to somebody. On his back, I saw men in suits. I think we’re being kidnapped. I saw them covering Xaviers mouth and nose with a handkerchief. Same like they did to me. “Help!” I screamed with all the energy I had.

“Take him away! Faster!” said the teacher whom Xavier was talking with a while ago. I think he’s involved. Then I passed out.

Later, I felt someone untying the ropes in my hands and feet. I can hear and feel someone calling me. To wake me up. I think it was Sophia. She kept on shaking me but I was paralysed, I can’t move neither speak or open my eyes. I heard a loud noise. Then gunshots followed. I wanted to scream, to ask for help. I can hear Sophia talking to the kidnappers. She somehow buys time for the authorities to respond.

Minutes later, I heard exchanges of gunshots. Sophia screamed. I gathered all my energy and moved my body inch by inch until I was able to stand up and open my eyes. I saw Sophia being lifted in our chopper and Xavier unconsciously being kidnapped, a gun was pointed at his head. I wanted to do something. The ‘teacher’ was surrounded by authorities and private team sent by Fournier Group. Because of the situation, they were forced to put their guns down. All of the kidnappers were either dead or unconscious because of their injury.

I looked around and saw a gun on the seat in the helicopter. I grabbed it and carefully without anyone noticing, I came down of the helicopter. Sam told us that dad hired someone to train us in using firearms. For safety measures. Now is the right time to use it. Since the elevator shaft was at the side of the building, I crawled under the other side of the helicopter to get a better view from the kidnapper. I noticed that I wasn’t the only one making the move. I can see someone in the elevator shafts, their uniform was similar to the private rescue team Fournier Group had sent so I think they’re on our side. I am prepared to shoot, with a better vision and angle carefully calculated based on our training, this should be able to hit at his sphenoid. Even though my hand was trembling, I need to do this. I need to protect my brother no matter what. If someone in my family threatens our safety, I’ll do whatever necessary, even if I have to kill someone, I’ll do everything.

I pulled the trigger. The kidnapper fell down. Same goes with Xavier. They quickly approached Xavier and the private response team carefully lifted him in the chopper. They approached the kidnapper, checked his pulse and signaled that he was dead. Someone held my shoulders. It was Mark. He was holding a gun. I realized that I didn’t pull the trigger. It was he who killed the kidnapper.

“Nice job!” Mark said. I looked at his left arm and saw blood dripping. “It’s alright. Don’t worry.”

We were lifted in the chopper. Above, I can see Lester with the authorities conversing along with Mr. Paul and other school securities and staff. Lester waved his hands at me. After that, I lost consciousness.

When I woke up, I saw right in front of my face, looking at me intensely Xavier who were unaware of what happened to him. He was smiling then broke into laughter. Sophia who was worried and started to cry. Lester who has a stoic expression. Completely  immobilized. “What are you looking at?” I continued, “Do I have something on my face?”
