AAAH I'm so sorry. It's been like four months when I said updates would be shorter, and I'm incredibly sorry for that. Life has been really wonky, and I've just had no inspiration or motivation to write. However! I had a dream. And was heavily inspired to continue writing! So hopefully, things continue smoothly from this point on! Enjoy! It's a bit shorter, but I find I'm more motivated to write if I don't worry about length.

Bruno looked puzzled at this answer. "I'm sorry, did you say Illuso?" He asked for clarity.
"Y-yeah, why?" Aurora was growing nervous. He seemed genuinely shocked by her answer, and that worried her. This was the gang that Risotto used to be a part of. They were terrifying, ruthless and all-knowing. So her concern was valid; such a group would never be shocked under normal circumstances.
The man put his fingers to his chin in thought. Finally, he spoke again: "Well, he's supposed to be dead."
"He... what? Well he's doing a piss poor job at it!" Aurora yelled, gripping her head in disbelief.
"Mm. I wonder how he survived. Fugo's stand is lethal."
"Who?"
"Ah, an old friend. Regardless of that, he's alive, and we need to focus on that. He clearly has some hidden motive in all of this. From what I remember, when the squad was still a part of Passione, Illuso was more of an odd duck. Didn't really get along with the others. I wonder if it's some sort of revenge plan," Bruno thought out loud, pacing as he spoke. Mista watched lazily from the couch, eyes occasionally flicking over to the blue-haired woman.
Aurora sighed, slumping against the wall. "Well I wish he hadn't dragged me into this. Using my brother against me..." she trailed off, eyes downcast. Bruno offered an apologetic smile, placing a hand to her shoulder.
"Don't fret. Our boss wants to help. His reasons are unknown to us, but we trust him with our lives. In the meantime, I'll drive you back home. If you get any more orders from him, text me from this number." He said before handing her a small slip of paper. Aurora nodded, shoving it in her pocket.
"Ooo, exchanging numbers now? Bruno, she's taken, you dog."
"Mista."
Aurora grinned as the two argued, feeling a bit lighter than before. Things seemed better, and she was hopeful that this mess would be sorted out soon. Still, she'd call her brother's caretaker later, just to check on how he was doing. It wasn't long until Aurora was back in her apartment, the corgi jumping at her legs. She had been gone longer than she anticipated, and the poor pup was worried sick!
"Ah gosh, I'm sorry, bud! We gotta teach you how to use phones, huh?" She giggled to herself, scratching his ears.
"Alas, he is but a dog." The sudden intrusion left chills crawling up her spine. She grit her teeth, only sparing a glance up towards her captor.
"What the hell do you want?" She asked bitterly, holding Rusty close to her chest. He seemed to understand the change in the air, as he grew incredibly still.
"Still so hostile? Who knew such a beautiful woman could be so scornful," He said with a sigh, leaning on the door frame that lead into her hallway.
"I'm not going to ask again. What. Do you want." She spoke through gritted teeth. The man tsked, but smiled.
"I just noticed I couldn't find you for a few hours. Whatever were you doing sweetheart? Certainly not going against orders, right?" His voice was sickeningly sweet, but held a deadly undertone. He made his way over to her, crouching so that he could stare directly into her eyes.
