"Ni-san!! Get up!! We're late!"
The older kid groaned and got up, eyes still hazy from sleep. "Ugh...5 more minutes..."
The boy above didn't stop and he pulled the covers and screamed, "Mama made your favorite!! Pancakes!! Get up!!"
Finally giving up on sleep, he got up and got ready, jumping down the stairs.
"Goodmorning mama!!"
"Goodmorning sweetheart..."
With a smile she replied. He always felt happy when he saw his mother smile, after all, he saw how much his mother struggled for him and his younger brother...
Little did they know that it would be the last...

"M-mama?"
"MAMA!! NI-SAN!!"
The voice continued, now getting feeble. "Ni-san...Mama..." He shrunk down, bring his knees close to his chest, tears welling up.
The poor boy couldn't bear seeing the blood smeared all over the walls, along with guttural screams that echoed around the house.
Whimpering he waited for his brother's arrival and his consciousness dropped minute by minute. Lucky for him people were there.

The light shone, and the brunette flinched. Looking at the unfamiliar faces he cowered.
"Don't worry sweetheart you'll be fine."
A woman cooed near him, gently stroking his cheeks tenderly.
"Don't worry we just rescued you from that monster."
Hearing this he jerked up, "Mama is not a MONSTER!!"
The people were shocked by his outburst but soon their eyes welled.
"I'm so sorry kid..."
Confused he tilted his head.
Why? What happened to mama...
"I'm so sorry for your loss."
Loss?

"Ni-san!! Why did they tell Meiji's mama, sorry?" The young boy asked.
"They were sorry for Mei's papa's loss," Shinsaku replied.
"Loss?"
"It means death Katai..." He replied to Katai, eyes softening.

Mama...she...dead? T-then Ni-san?
Where is Ni-san??
Mama can't be dead...
She promised me!!
She promised not to leave me as Papa did!!
"There there kiddo, I'm sorry you had to go through that at such a young age..."
That was when Katai realized that he was crying. Soon he choked in his sobs and wailed, letting the waterworks out.
I want Ni-san!!
I want my mama back!!
Please!!
