DREAM'S POV

My head hurts. My eyes hurt. Everything hurts.

I lay in bed, my head is pounding. I hold the cigarette in between my index and middle finger, taking a hit every once and a while.

My speakers are playing whatever songs I have in my playlist. As the previous song fades out, another song starts to play.

"Cross my heart and hope to die
burn my lungs and curse my eyes"

I scroll through my snapchat memories and look at photos and videos from months ago

We looked so happy.

His smile always lit up the room

His beautiful brown eyes

His soft brunet hair I would always grip onto, pushing him further down on my—

Okay, don't think about that right now.

"I'm going numb, i've been hijacked
it's a fucking drag"

My whole body feels numb. I cant feel anything. I lift the cigarette to my lips and inhale, taking it all in. I pull the cigarette away from my mouth and slowly exhale the smoke. I let my head fall back onto the pillows

I lick my lips out of habit, I could still slightly taste the cherry lip balm he always wore.

"I taste you on my lips and I can't get rid of you"

"Ugh, fuck."

"So I say damn your kiss and the awful things you do"

I come across multiple photos and videos of us. I cant keep my eyes off of him. The videos and photos of us kissing makes my heart ache

I bring my cigarette to my lips and inhale again.

"Yeah you're worse than nicotine, nicotine"

I exhale the smoke, I watch as it flows out of my mouth, and sigh.

"Yeah you're worse than nicotine, nicotine"

I open snapchat and look at my best friends list, but one specific name catches my eye at the bottom of the list

"It's better to burn than to fade away
It's better to leave than be replaced"

"Should I text him...?"

Nah, fuck that.
