(this is because I was too lazy to write the actual trip Itself, but the important part is Cass seemed to grow a little stronger after they arrived and she got some much needed counseling from a person who I will not name... Master Splinter--)
New York itself was an awful place for Cass to be. Too many lights and people and the sounds of cars outside constantly was sure to be a bother. But for the next few weeks she and sky dealt with the irritation that came from the cities exterior. On the inside, however, it was a much different story.
New York was full of bright lights and not so bright people. Two clashing things that Cass had a huge distaste for. As she stared at the lights she couldn’t help but to think they were to compensate for the people populating the city. The lights probably looked spectacular at night. When the two arrived it was still early morning in the city, yet it was at least three hours ahead of where she started. But she didn’t mind her inevitable jet lag. The traffic into the city didn’t treat Sky kindly though.
“No wonder Scraps tells me I shouldn’t go into the city… The lack of speed here is unbearable. WOULD YOU ALL PLEASE GET YOUR STICKS OUT OF YOUR TAILPIPES AND MOVE IT??” Sky would grumble as she slammed on the horn.
“Oh calm down, we’ll be out of here soon. Best not to make the locals mad by being impatient.” Cass insisted, her gaze fixed on a bright broadway billboard.
The two would eventually get their distaste for the place replaced with longing. For where they visited helped them control their emotions and stress. It was something Cass desperately needed for years. She hoped to go home with an open mind and perhaps it would rub off of her father.
That hope was a stretch though.
Cass in the three weeks of being gone grew mentally and physically stronger, which was more than what she needed to feel ready to go home again.
(This part is short I know but what I originally wrote for it was not original and came from the continuity of another fanfiction 😅)
