Overgirl: Dark Reign-Overkrieg (HALTED- ON HIATUS)

Barry's 2nd Year in the MCU

A continuation of the last chapter...

Overgirl smiled as Barry finished telling her about his past missions while he was in another Universe. Barry explained that there was an organization just as powerful as the Reichman, they were named HYDRA.

"So... this HYDRA is basically a rogue science division then?" Kara asked him. Barry nodded.

"Yeah, and I have another story to tell you..."

So I went on many missions before that one, but things went from bad, to worse. We soon found out that SHIELD was actually compromised by HYDRA, they had implanted themselves into SHIELD during operation Paper Clip in the 50s. Turns out, that man that I worked for, Fury, got shot by the most elite soldier I have ever seen. We were fugitives, we were running from the very organization that made me feel safe, made us feel safe. 

Steve and Barry were in the halls of a hospital, they had to be really careful of who to trust. They were walking down the halls, their heads down. They stopped at a vending machine, in the reflection of the glass, they saw Natasha appear, she popped her gum loudly. Barry turned around, his face was of suspicion.

"Watch the halls, and get me some M and M's, peanut," Barry murmured to Steve, he nodded. Barry grabbed Natasha by the hips and pushed her into a medical office. He pinned her to the wall.

"Where is it?" Barry growled, referring to the USB that Fury gave to him and Steve.

"Safe," Natasha responded cooly, they entered a staring contest.

"You lie," Barry murmured.

"Where did you get it?" Natasha told him. 

"Why would I tell you? For all, I know our friendship is a lie and you could be working for Pierce," Barry growled.

"Fury gave it to you guys, why?" Natasha asked firmly, her eyes still locked on his.

"Stop lying," Barry hissed, his voice was distorted, Natasha could see a faint red electricity dance in his eyes.

"I only act like I know everything, Barry," Natasha responded.

"I bet you knew Fury hired those pirates, didn't you?" Barry accused. Natasha looked at his lips, she audibly gulped.

"Well, it makes sense. The ship was dirty, Fury needed a way in, so do you," Natasha vaguely explained, Barry snarled and grabbed her sweater and pulled her closer, their breaths were intermingling. 

"I will not ask you again," He hissed.

"I know who killed Fury," Natasha told him. Barry raised an eyebrow.

"I'm listening," He murmured.

"Most of the intelligence community doesn't believe he exists. The ones that do call him the Winter Soldier. He's credited with over two dozen assassinations in the last 50 years," Natasha told him.

"So he's a ghost story, I can literally kill anyone in less than a nanosecond, tell me where this guy is so I can bring him into custody, or better yet, let me crush this Winter Soldier's heart," Barry responded.

"That's gonna be a problem, 5 years I was escorting a nuclear engineer out of Iran. Somebody shot out my tires near Odessa. We lost control, went straight over a cliff. I pulled us out. But the Winter Soldier was there," Natasha told him with a trace of fear in her voice...

And that's when Blitzkrieg knew he was dealing with someone very...very dangerous. Natasha audibly swallowed, she looked uncomfortable with saying the last part.
