It was Wednesday night. Family dinner night for Lilian.
Lilian texted Mike.
Lilian- Hey what time will you be at my parents house ?
Lili grabbed her purse, locked her office building. Walked to the parking lot, got in her Ford 2015 fusion and drove towards her parents' house.
Mike responds saying.
Mike- I'm on my way, I'm in my car now.
Lili responds saying
Lili- Okay
30 minutes later they both arrive at Lili's parents house. Lili's twin sister and brother Brianna and Brandon Jr. are both there with their families.
Brandon Sr. says " Let's hurry and eat the little kids have school tomorrow and I have making up to do with your mama " Brandon and his siblings all laughed.
Veronica said " There will be no making up you are still in the dog house. Kids come eat ."
Lili is sitting at the kids table talking and playing with her niece and nephew.
Brianna asks Mike " So how have you been Mikey ?" Mike drink his soda and says " I've been good Brianna, I just relocated hospitals as the head doctor and the nurse Ashley I'm dating our relationship is getting serious, she wants to me to come with her to Vegas next week for her sister's wedding ". Brianna says " That's great Mike !! Congratulations !! " Lili looks up from the table and says " When did that happen ? " Mike says " Tuesday " Lili asks " Why am I just finding out ? " Mike says " It was supposed to be a surprise, why are you upset ? Lili says " No reason ". Her family looked at her with suspicion.
Lili was livid, she didn't want Mike with any other female. After dinner Mike began playing with the kids while everyone else ate chocolate cake. Briana, Tiara who is Brandon Jr.'s wife sat with Lili and watched Mike play with the kids.
Tiara rubs her 5 month pregnant stomach and says " So Lili are you okay with Mike having another woman in his life other than you ? " Lili sits back on the couch and says " Yes, why wouldn't I be ? ". Briana and Tiara look at each other and say " Because you are in love with him" Tiara says "You can ignore it all you want but we all see it ."
Veronica over hears the conversation and walks in the living room. She sits on the arm of Lili's chair. Veronica says " Its true, You are in love with him and he's in love with you we all see it, you were to upset when he told you about Ashley and ever since high school he has come over here for each family dinner and all of our family events, your own father even calls him son as do I. You may want to tell him how you feel ".
Lili stops her mother and says " I love him but not in that way, even IF I did he has Ashley ". The rest of her family hears the conversation. Brandon says " Ma's right Ashley may only be his girlfriend now but you don't know what could happen once they are in Vegas " Brandon Sr. says " Figure out how you feel baby, he won't be dating this woman very long".
Lili stands up and walks towards the kids play room. She watches him play with the kids. She turns around back towards her family and says " Even if I did love him which I don't, he's happy with Ashley ". She kisses her family members and say good night.
