Memories began to fall into place like a puzzle slowly being put together. Lying down on the couch, I look up and tried to visualize what happened while I was out cold. A storm? Like this one? Worse? Was it my fault? No... The old man would've said something. The whole town... Who else knows? The fisherman from yesterday, he knew... The houses on the east side... All gone. What the hell happened back then? I hear the chimes of the clocktower... It's noon.
The rain is starting to cease. I have to get out there to look for answers. I'll wait for the rain to completely stop. I have to talk to the old man. For now... I'll wait.

At the docks...
-"The rain ain't so bad, Gray. I'm glad it's not as bad as last time. What the hell do you teach the kid out there? I hope you're not purposely teaching him to fuck up the weather like this."
"No, the boy... He just needs to get a hang of things. If he can cause the storm to come. I'm sure he can make it go away too. He's the only gifted one that's just like..."
"Two-six-two... Your first kid. Troublemaker that one. He's got to be at least 30 now, right? He's fucking up the world, Gray. He goes to the people like some hero, but when it comes to saving lives for the better..."
"I know..."
"You think he'll come back here? Fuck shit up over here too? I wouldn't be surprised if..."
"He won't. He sees potential on the island. He's hoping the others will follow in his footsteps, but we gotta keep quiet about these things. I heard Jacobs' kids left the island last month."
"So... We're just letting these monsters escape? We're giving the devil out there his demons? Why don't we just kill these fuckers? They never should've even existed."
"Shut up, Dan. These kids are humans too."
"Half-human, Gray. And they're dangerous. You know that. We should've put down that girl a long time ago. But still she's flying around the island doing fuck what."
"These kids are different, Dan. We have to show them our good side. The reason for two-six-two's escape is my fault. We didn't know how to handle these kids back then. We used to treat them as freaks and outsiders. And should any of these kids know right from wrong, they'll be able to save the world from."
"What are you planning, Gray? Think these kids stand a chance to the older ones that have gone already? We're doomed, Gray. Have you seen what two-six-two has done with the world?"
"Only time will tell, Dan..."
"Have you heard from Simon? Said he'd come today."
"Oh.. Simon.. He told me he had a problem with his leg. Said he'll be able to work again after a few days."
"Ah... The rain stopped. Lovely."
~
The rain stopped... Finally. I immediately walk out the house and make my way to the docks, hoping to see the old man. I have to get answers about what happened back then. The weather is cold and the sky still dark, my favourite kind of weather. I don't know what I'll say or ask, but the road ahead is long, long enough to think about it and then... I finally see him...
"Gray!", I called out approaching him while running.
"Nathan, what's going on?", the old man asks.
"Go on, Gray... The kid seems to have some important business to discuss."
The old man puts down his crate and comes up to me. He knows something's wrong and still asks...
"What's going on? You come here to help?"
