Celestia POV

It's been a few weeks since they Blood Moon Ball and Tom and I had met up a few times.

Anyways, Star had called a group of people over to Marco's house to celebrate Mewnipendence day.

I was quietly glaring in the corner about the stupid holiday while everyone was arriving.

"Okay, quiet, everyone." Star said as she banged her sword against the ground. "Quiet!" She shouted. "Quiet. I assume you all brought your swords."

"Uh... what?" Marco asked.

"It said on the invitation you're supposed to bring a sword." Star explained.

"I was a little confused by your invitation." One of Marco's friends told her.

"I'm not confused." The teacher Star turned into a troll said. "This is clearly a drawing of meat. I came for the meat."

"I think everyone's just wondering why they're here." Marco told her.

"Uh, it's the 37th of Grovnok. Mewnipendence day."
When no one showed any recognition except for my glare, Star sulked upstairs before returning with a book.
"Mewnipendence day. A long time ago, arrived the first settlers of Mewni." She made weird boat noises to enunciate that fact. "A modest people with noble pursuits, life, liberty, and corn. But the wicked monsters rose up and attacked the innocent Mewnans to re-steal Mewni for themselves. So the queen used her magic to turn the simple peasants into a fearsome army. And then there was fighting. Fighting, fighting, fighting, fighting. And the Mewnans won. Ta-da!" Star proceeded to make firework noises before I interrupted.

"You just blew past all the important parts. Not to mention the whole things seems totally unfair." I stood up saying.

"Yeah." Marco agreed.

"When do we eat?" Teacher troll, Ms Skullnick, asked.

"We feast after we re-enact the great monster massacre!" Star gained a crazed look in her eyes as she said this. "Now please split into two teams, monsters and Mewnans."

"Can I be a human?" Ms Skullnick asked.

"You are a monster." Star told her definitively. "That's why you were invited."

Everyone quickly split into two teams, with Marco being Star's general and me sulking on the couch beside her.

"Lookin' pretty good. Now we can begin making costumes, and after that, the bloody battle can commence." Marco raises his hand. "Yes, Marco?"

"What's that?"

"Oh, that's just an all-seeing eye. It follows you around all day."

"It's staring at me." Marco told her.

"Don't worry, it's just to remind the monster that the royal family is always watching. It's not actually watching you, though. That would be weird."

Once everyone was in their costumes, with Star forcing me to wear a princess dress with her. Although I just used the one I wore to the Blood Moon Ball seeing as hers were way too puffy in my opinion. My dresses on Mewni were considered 'bold' since I wore less of the big puffy dresses and more form fitting but flowy dresses.

Anyways, once everyone was in their costumes, Marco pointed out the unfairness of the holiday. Star just misinterpreted this and made the odds even more unfair.

Ferguson had almost been crushed many times before we actually started and after the second time, I just zoned out and texted Tom on my new Mirror-phone I convinced Star to let me buy.
