Lara  had had  wanted to ballet, there  was something about those   girls in   leotards who floated  through the  air, but  the class  had filled, they didn't care if  Lara wanted to float. Instead she had had to  take hiphop. It was either that or  piano lessons.

She was late as always. They had  already started warming and she  ran in panting, they all  stopped and  stared at her. One  girl  snickered at Lara's   at mess hair and stained  outfit, which made  her want  to disappear.

The girl who had  snickered  at her made  it her job to tell  Lara  that everything she was doing was  wrong. She corrected  every move  Lara made and   whenever whenever Lara  feel. Whenever  she tried to walk away from the girl just followed. Lara had  only been taking dance classes for three  weeks and she hated  it already.

She  no longer wanted to float, or glide,  this girl  had ruined  the illusion that she was capable at any of those things. She couldn't just  ask  her home if she could quit, her mother didn't like quitters,  maybe that was  why she still smoke.  She didn't care about what Lara  wanted.  Finally  Lara  just decided to  skip  the class. When her mother dropped her off, she walked across the street to the library   and stared there until the class was over and went back  in front of the dance studio. One day her mom  came  early and wanted  to see what her daughter  was doing, to find that Lara hadn't been  for a month. From then on, her mother  brought her up to the dance studio and watched her  make a fool out of herself. The year  after she took piano lessons instead,  hoping that her  fingers might glide
