Lara had had wanted to ballet, there was something about those girls in leotards who floated through the air, but the class had filled, they didn't care if Lara wanted to float. Instead she had had to take hiphop. It was either that or piano lessons.
She was late as always. They had already started warming and she ran in panting, they all stopped and stared at her. One girl snickered at Lara's at mess hair and stained outfit, which made her want to disappear.
The girl who had snickered at her made it her job to tell Lara that everything she was doing was wrong. She corrected every move Lara made and whenever whenever Lara feel. Whenever she tried to walk away from the girl just followed. Lara had only been taking dance classes for three weeks and she hated it already.
She no longer wanted to float, or glide, this girl had ruined the illusion that she was capable at any of those things. She couldn't just ask her home if she could quit, her mother didn't like quitters, maybe that was why she still smoke. She didn't care about what Lara wanted. Finally Lara just decided to skip the class. When her mother dropped her off, she walked across the street to the library and stared there until the class was over and went back in front of the dance studio. One day her mom came early and wanted to see what her daughter was doing, to find that Lara hadn't been for a month. From then on, her mother brought her up to the dance studio and watched her make a fool out of herself. The year after she took piano lessons instead, hoping that her fingers might glide
