Iara was resting with the children outside on a quiet and secluded hill on the boundaries of Tenjin-ya. All of Tenjin-ya was quiet during its day off. She smiled when she noticed Ginji run up the hill towards her. She opened her arms to receive him in a hug.
"Ginji..." She smiled and tilted her chin up to receive a kiss. Ginji didn't fail to deliver a kiss.
"Your parents wrote another letter regarding us taking a trip to spend some time at the royal palace." He stated as he took a seat next to Iara. His life was quite complete. He had a gorgeous, loving wife and she gave him perfect children. What more could a ayakashi want?
"They want so desperately to spend time with their grandchildren. I can't blame them for wanting that, but the kids are still so rowdy and young. It'd be hard to travel."
"No matter that. I think it's a worthwhile venture." Ginji laughed as he watched the children scamper about in their ayakashi form.
"How much do you love me, Ginji?"
"Very much. My love for you is infinite."
"Even though I am human?"
That question pulled on Ginji's heart. It was true. Iara was a beautiful rose that was blooming, but eventually wither. A rose that blooms then withers. Her lifeline was extended, but the time would come when she would leave him and their children behind.
"Yes. I'll love you every second of every minute of every hour of every day." He smiled and kissed her once more.
"I'm glad. I will always love you too." She rested her head on his shoulder.
