"youre gonna fall, be careful" she chuckled.
we were at the local park, and if you hadnt already guessed, autumn rolled by again.
she was teaching me
how to skate.
time check, 6.45 pm.
the sky was blending into an array of orange, pink and yellow. the wind was
turning colder. but your presence
warmed me in ways more than imaginable.
your laugh, music to my ears.
the way the corner if your eyes crinkled when i almost slipped,
i swear my lifespan increased by 60 years.
i loved the way your eyes smiled together with your mouth.
"come on you're getting the hang of it!"
you laughed.
your hand gripped tightly onto mine, sending electricity surging through my body.
your cheeks were flushed, because of the cold weather.
you pulled me along as we skated across
the park, soon nearing the lake.
our hair was flying in all sorts of directions.
your sweater felt soft against my fingers.
at that moment, i felt nothing, but at the same time, everything.
i felt every gush of wind.
i felt every pebble bumping against the rollerblades.
i felt her warm hands wrapped gently around mine.
it felt as though we were the only ones there.
only us and the world
in each other's presence.
the rest of existence could wait for abit, for now it was just me and her.
she came to a stop.
i looked at her.
she was gazing at the sky, filled with light traces of stars. the wind blowed gently against her. i felt her take a deep and long breath.
sigh.
"it's beautiful isnt it?"
"yeah"
we shared a thoughtful silence.
i wanted this moment to last forever.
just me and her, under the pale pink sky.
