Pleasure 31

The obvious smirk on the inventor's face made my face whiter than before. I can feel the pain in my head and i closed my eyes, inhaling deeply. 

"Let him go." the inventor said and when i felt the robots' holds loosen up, i dropped to my knees, panting and sweating cold sweat. I clasped my head in agony. 

"Are you alright?" the old man asked and i shook my head with my eyes still closed. Then i felt his hand on my shoulder. "Come on." he whispered and i looked up at him slowly. 

He is smiling and i looked away again, feeling tears. 

"Stand up." he whispered and pulled me to my feet. I grasped his cold hand and let him pull me to my feet. When i can stand already, i wiped the tears on my face and looked back at him. "Everything would be over soon." he said softly and touched my face. "You will feel no pain again." 

I pursed my lips and nodded at him. 

The inventor led me to an empty bed beside Chanyeol, pushing Kyungsoo's bed aside. I held the edge for support and pulled myself up so i could sit on it. I looked at the man lying beside me and i bit my lip. 

He seems so peaceful... so beautiful. 

And i did the one thing i always wanted to do whenever i see him.

I reached out to his face. "C-Channie.." i whispered. The tears are suddenly there again, flowing to my face and neck. "I-i'm s-sorry.." i sobbed and brushed his face with my thumb. "I-i'm sorry.. i w-wasn't there." 

The inventor patted my back once. "You'll be together soon, don't worry." he whispered against my ear. "Now.. lie down already. So we could start." 

I bit my lip to stifle a sob. I achingly pulled my hand away from Chanyeol and i lied down, staring at the empty ceiling with it's lights and tiles. I closed my eyes and felt the pain in my head slowly leaving. 

"How do you feel?" the inventor asked me. And without opening my eyes, i sniffed and swallowed. 

"B-better." i said in a hoarse voice. "I-i think.. i just need to lay down." I added and as i breath in and out, i felt the throbbing in my head slowly subside.
