The bright light from the living-room behind him cast the small yard in a soft golden light. Listening to the low snoring from his grandfather, Kim Taehyung carefully cleaned up the mouthpiece of his saxophone before returning it to its case. With the exception of the 18 months of his obligatory military service, he had been playing the saxophone continuously since he had been ten years old. He loved the sound of the instrument, the sexiness, both the overall artistry and craft you needed to actually coax the crooning notes out of the instrument.

Sitting cross-legged on the pyong-sang, the low sitting-platform that was customary in any Korean yard since before Joseon times, he leaned back on his outstretched arms and looked up into the night sky. He should go to bed as it was way past his usual bed time, but he was far too churned up to even contemplate going to sleep.

Big brown doe eyes kept appearing in his mind and he had to admit to himself that he had known who this person was even before he had told him his name. While he was certainly not a hard core fan of Yoongi's band, he recognized all members and he certainly had recognized its main vocalist and visual of the group before he even introduced himself.

"Jeon Jungkook," Tae said quietly and closed his eyes for a moment. While the polished idol Jeon Jungkook was sexy, the non-idol version was cute and Taehyung found the duality utterly fascinating. If he was honest with himself, he had never in his life felt such a instant connection with anyone. But with this particular guy ... he felt as if a missing puzzle piece had slid into place. It felt as if his whole body had come alive, which was, so Tae thought, just stupid. And weird. And confusing. And arousing.

He was twenty-three and compared to his friends both male and female at school he had sailed through puberty without any hitches. The only indicators that his body was changing were his voice dropping, and him gaining muscle mass. When he had turned twenty-one and he had yet to experience a wet dream or crushes in general or sex in particular, he had decided that his friends and family were right and that he was indeed like an alien, sexless.

Since then, he had settled into a very quiet and contained life as most of his friends had moved away from the rural part where he lived and opportunities to hang out were pretty much minuscule because the young adult community was practically non-existent in his neck of the woods. He could have driven into Daegu proper but his visits to the city for supplies or otherwise within the last ten months could be counted off on one hand. From time to time he was propositioned, mostly from outside clients both male and female, but he declined each and every one of them politely but resolutely. So it came as a huge surprise that meeting the very living and breathing Jeon Jungkook had such an impact on him. It was disconcerting to say the least.

After a leisurely breakfast, Mrs Min had put together a small basket of picnic things as well as several containers to transport any freshly picked fruits. Thus loaded Jungkook followed his band mate's mother out of the garden and into the fields. Even though the sun was not yet high in the sky, the morning air already carried the humid clingy heat of summer with it.

Careful not to step on the fragile plants that sat on the ground amidst their straw nests, Jungkook trotted after Mrs Min who walked straight ahead to the small wooden farm house at the end of one the fields.

He watched as Mrs Min walked up to one corner of a huge field where the plants were ripe with big, plump strawberries. Popping one into her mouth, Mrs Min shortly closed her eyes.

"Oh, these are the best," she breathed when she had stopped chewing. She picked one and handed it over to Jungkook. "Here taste one. Taehyung-ssi had the plants imported from France several years ago. Everyone told him he was crazy, but they are his best selling item now."
