Chapter Five 🔥

Taehyung didn't know how he had managed it but Jungkook had actually arranged for Mrs Min to look after his granddad for the day he was off to Busan. Early in the morning she had come with the family car to the farm and had bundled up his granddad into the passenger seat, informing him she would spent the day with his granddad at the local community centre to meet up with other senior citizens for a game or two of go-stop and wishing Tae a wonderful date.

With a shake of his head, Taehyung had watched for a few minutes until the car had disappeared in a curve of the road. The week before he had received an email with all the pertaining info and tickets he needed for his remote date with Jungkook in Busan. He had scanned in all the necessary info, including his KTX QR code and the night before he had double checked if he had everything he needed. Jungkook had gotten him tickets for the GeumgangPark cable ride as well as gathered info for the GeumgangParkHealingForest and he was looking forward to seeing the locations all around Busan. For each location Jungkook had written down instructions and added photos he had taken - including selcas - but what would be really special was the fact that he would accompany Tae via Skype at notable locations with free wifi.

Taehyung had just settled into the plush seat of the first class Gyeongbu line to Busan when a notification popped up on his display of an incoming Skype call. Popping his ear buds in, he answered the call.

"Hi," Smiling, Tae greeted Jungkook who looked quite sleepy.

"Hi yourself," Jungkook replied and burrowed deeper into the seat. He was in transit, an overnight flight first class from North America to France, and Tae saw as Jungkook switched on the reading light as it was quite dim in the cabin.

"How are you, Jungkook-ah?" Tae asked, concern in his voice, when he saw the tired face.

"I am fine, tired but fine," Jungkook had dropped his voice, grinning madly at the screen of the onboard media system he was using. "I am really looking forward to today, I hope the day will be fun for you, Taehyung-sshi."

"I told you to drop the honorific," Tae replied and smiled at Jungkook on his screen. "I will enjoy myself wonderfully, as you put so much work into this. So thank you."

"Hey, wait to the end of the day before you say that." Jungkook laughed despite his tiredness. "So what are you wearing?" he asked raising his eyebrows playfully. Both men laughed. It had become a running joke between the two that Jungkook seemed to be obsessed with Tae's sometimes over-the-top outfits. But then again no one actually saw him on his farm, and strawberries and apples didn't mind if they were picked by a farmer wearing actual work gear or soft linen and silks. The true reason why he wore such soft and loose outfits was his skin condition. He got itchy rashes as soon as he wore tight fitting clothes that did not let his skin breathe or regulate temperature correctly.

"Nothing too obvious, today," Tae winked. "I am a tourist out on a date." He tilted his cell phone to reveal loose fitting linen chinos tied around his waist with a conventional men's tie and a soft chambray shirt. Topped off with a Panama hat and vintage sun glasses. He looked like a rich 1930s millionaire on his way to the Marina in Monte Carlo.

It was effortless and casual, and Tae looked so fucking beautiful that Jungkook released a breath slowly and took a screen shot when Tae was busy looking out the window of the train.

They chatted for a bit before the intercom system of the train line reported their arrival at Busan main station.

"Ah I have to get off, see you in a bit." Tae waved and disconnected the call.

With enthusiasm and almost child-like innocence, Taehyung walked out of the station into the sunshine of a perfect Korean late summer day. He immediately could smell the difference between his own home town and Busan. Busan was a costal town, with incredible beaches and ports, nestled between the sea and rolling green hills. Jungkook's date would lead Taehyung on a round trip of the city, to almost every important landmark.
