(A/N: this chapter contains HUGE spoilers to the short story, Into The Pit. It's not the exact story, more what I think the books are trying to hint at, but even then it will spoil a significant part of the short story. PLEASE PROCEED WITH CAUTION IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET SPOILED)
Chris didn't like this...
He didn't like this at all...
When Elizabeth had told him she was going back to look for dad, he kind of hoped she was joking.
He had a good life going for him.
A stable family
Real friends
A place to call home...
Did everyone really want to throw that away all because his dad was still alive?
Was it really that worth it?
But...then he started to worry.
He knew Cassidy would kill him.
Tare him to little purple shreds.
He couldn't handle that.
So, here he was, knocking on her door.
Cassidy lived in a small house, all alone. She said her parents were still alive, and she was trying to keep the house clean enough for them when they get up here. I always felt bad for Cassidy. She was constantly on her own, barely ever talking to anyone. On a few occasions she would talk to Charlie, and lately she seemed to be warming up to Elizabeth, but that was it. That's the only interaction she really made.
When Cassidy opened the door, she had that same twisted look in her eye that Elizabeth used to have. That Elizabeth probably has at that very moment. Chris cleared his throat, and fiddled with the hem of his striped shirt.
"U-Uh...h-hi Cassidy." He stuttered. Said girl seemed to pause for a few seconds, before waving at him. She let Chris inside, allowing him to look around her home.
It looked deserted, like it hadn't been used in over a thousand years. The place was practically in ruins from the inside. It was strange. The outside looked like a pleasant small cottage, but this...this place was a wreck. What was Cassidy even doing in here. Chris shook himself out of his thoughts. He had to focus.
"I...I heard you're going back with uh...with everyone else..." Chris stated, unsure of himself. Cassidy nodded again, she hasn't said a word the entire time. "W-Well I...I was wondering if...I-I want to....well..." ah crap, he wasn't good at this kind of stuff. Chris took another deep breath and looked back at Cassidy. She was staring at him in a very annoyed manor. Well, that makes sense. "I..." Chris began again. "I wanna go down...with you..." Cassidy raises an eyebrow at him. He sighed. "Look I—I don't know if this is even possible but...what if we shared a suit? You know, cause I mean...I like fredbear too and—"
"Fine."
Chris blinked twice. What?
Cassidy rolled her eyes at him.
"Just quit your blabbering, I don't have all day ya know." For the first time, Cassidy smiles at him. Well, not a smile, it was clearly a smirk, but unlike everyone else, Chris had never seen that. His main focus was to watch over Elizabeth and the rest of his family. While the others did come to mind, he never payed as close attention. So he hadn't learned the difference between Cassidy's genuine smile, and her smirk that signifies she had something up her sleeve.
It was strange.
She kind of reminded him of Elizabeth in a weird way.
Maybe he should try to get them to hang out once this blows over.
