"Kiko we have a book club meeting today" Koko whispered in my ear. I don't know why but i had a bad feeling about staying after school today but i just shook it off. "Kiko come on i'm excited about this book." she whispered slightly louder

"I'm coming i'm coming." I chuckled making sure she didn't notice i was having bad feelings.

"Welcome to this months book club twins." Ms. An smiled in our faces "I take it y'all finished the book?"

"Yes we did." we said in unison returning the smile.

"The twins are here we can now start the discussion." Ms. An said to the 5 other people in our class. "So what did y'all think about the book, Allegedly?" she asked us

"I liked it. It was a different book and i've never seen anything like it." Koko said smiling. She never usually talked this much except to me and i was shocked.

"You talk? I thought you were mute." this boy named Jay asked her.

"She doesn't talk that much usually." i quickly answered for her seeing her put her head down and start blushing.

"Let's continue on with the discussion questions..." i heard Ms. An say but my mind was far off at this point

She just talked in front of other people

She just said more than one sentence around people she doesn't know well. I thought smiling.

"Kiko what did you think of her mom forcing her to take the blame for killing the baby?" Ms. An said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"I thought it was really immature. She shouldn't have killed the baby and blamed it on her child because she sacrificed her whole life by doing that." I responded

"Very good. Well that was it. It's 5:30 y'all can start making your way home or calling your ride. Stay safe and if you're walking make sure you wear a coat it's getting cold outside." She told us with a smile on her face.

"Bye Ms. An." Me and Koko said waving at her.

"Bet safe twins." She responded, putting her glasses on and sitting at her desk

We started walking home the way we normally do. It usually only takes us 10 minutes to get home and we go to Ms. Washington's house to help her clean and cook until about 9:30 and then we walk across the street to go home. The bad feeling in my gut was getting worse. You know that feeling it feels like butterflies but it's a bad feeling so it's like moths.

(A/N "the moths are getting unbearable- tootie wid da toolie" piimpdaddykiraa tease😛)

"Koko you see that car following us? Don't look back." I whispered grabbing her hand. Guess what she did. She looked back.
