By the next morning, Scott felt fine. Sure, maybe a bit achy at times, but for the most part he felt like he'd slept off whatever it was his immune system had been fighting. He'd gotten up around eleven, meeting Matt and Avi in the kitchen that morning.

"Hey, man. How're you feeling?" Matt greeted, and Scott shrugged at his question.

"I'm doing okay. Feeling a lot better." He answered, have you checked on Mitch yet?"

"Yeah. Mitch got up a few hours ago for some food, threw that up, but has kept down the second lot of food. He says he feels a bit better but went back to bed." Avi told Scott, elbowing Matt to put some more toast on rather than just stare at the man. He knew he was thinking about the germs that Scott may or may not have.

"Ah, makes sense. I thought I would have gotten away with missing out on this thing freshman year." He sighed.

"No, it gets everyone, bud." He laughed, "My friend Ben is a fourth year, and he managed to slip by without it for his first three, then it hit him today." He laughed at the conversation the two had earlier that day. "Kevin's up, too. Popped in for some food but decided to try and get some studying done early so he'd be ready for Monday."

"Okay. What about Kit. I want to thank her for yesterday. She was a huge help, looking after me like my mum would." he joked.

"Yeah, she seems really sweet." Avi nodded, "But I haven't seen her this morning. She was pretty tired last night, maybe she's just hiding in her room away from us?" He suggested, not too concerned. It seemed she'd managed to avoid it this year, meaning her second year roommates would have to handle that.

"I'm gonna peek in on her, let her know there's food." Scott decided, and went down the hall to her room in the back, knocking softly.

"Kirst? You awake?" He called, getting no response before opening the door. She must have not yet woken up. He smiled, and went to go shake her shoulder so he could offer some food.

"Kirstin, we got some food for you, c'mon." He spoke.

She opened her eyes and looked at him confused, briefly scared that there was a tall man in her room, before recognising her friend, and sat up. "How are you?" she asked, ignoring her aching head and sick stomach, more focused on making sure her two new friends were okay.

"I'm good, Mitch threw up earlier but seems okay now." he said, helping her up and turned around whilst she threw on some comfy clothes, not feeling well enough to care how she looked, before taking his hand and walked to the kitchen.

"She's alive!" Matt shouted, pretending to be Frankenstien, but she just winced at his loud volume going straight through her head.

"Good to see you up." Avi said, offering her a small smile, making her smile back. They all noticed Avi didn't smile a lot. It wasn't because he wasn't happy here, he seemed happy, just wasn't a very expressive type. He always seemed to smile at Kirstie though, they all did.

"Morning." She greeted softly, even though it was more like midafternoon. She thanked Matt for the plate of toast he passed her, though after around two bites her stomach very violently told her food wasn't a good idea, so she just wrapped her arms around her stomach.

"You okay?" Scott asked, and she nodded.

"Just lost my appetite, I guess." She assured him. She couldn't be getting sick, right? She must just be tired, as if she was sick, she would have been sick last night. Still, she figured being honest wouldn't hurt anything. "Not feeling great, honestly." She sighed.

"Maybe you're just still a little tired? Last night must have been rough." Scott suggested.

"Maybe." she agreed, looking back at Mitch's door, seeing him leave and head to the front room with his laptop and headphones. He must definitely be feeling better than yesterday.
