Kirstin floated leisurely in the water, enjoying the nice day out. They had taken the chance of a warm day to enjoy some time together. It had been hard to find a day that was nice enough for the three of them to agree on where to go, but the water park was a unanimous decision between the three. What could be better than hanging out with your closest friends and cooling off on a hot day.
"I'm just saying, we could've figured out a way to get him to slip you your number." Scott chuckled, gently nudging the girl's shoulder.
"Oh, sure. 'Remember that girl you literally dug blockage out of her throat from? Wasn't she so hot?' " she kicked her friend, shaking her head, "That wouldn't of gone well." She giggled softly.
"I don't know, he looked like he was your type. And definitely looked straight, so therefore you have to be his type. What straight guy wouldn't want this?" Mitch jumped in, gesturing to her.
"The ones that have seen me violently shaking and had to stick their hand down my throat? It's not exactly attractive." She argued back. "Why would you think a doctor would be interested in me anyway? Like, anyone with the name 'Dr. Kaplan' I'd already so out of my league."
The others quickly shook their heads, Scott adding on, "If he knew you he'd be the one begging to so much look as you, Trust me Kit." She smiled at his kind comment, "come on, let's forget about him for now. Who needs a boyfriend when you've got me and Mitchie to cuddle you instead?"
With that, she giggled softly and they decided to let the conversation go for now, though she had a feeling it was all going to come back again when Scott did something crazy to make it work. He was a matchmaker at heart.
"There's another slide up that way that looked cool." Mitch suggested, " might as well get our money's worth." The others readily agreed and they soon made their way to the edge of the pool. Scott got out first and helped the other two out before they made their way towards the next activity. It was pretty tall, and Scott made a joke about how tired the other two would be once they made it to the top of the winding platform to the top since they didn't have the long legs he did.
Scott went down first, with Mitch and Kirstie deciding to stick together and face the adventure together. Kirstie was in front, with Mitch's legs around her body, one arm around her waist as the other prepared to push the two down the slide.
As he pushed against the railing, sending the two propelling down the slide, Kirstie letting out a small scream as the two rushed by, carried by the moving water. Once they were giggling in joy all the way down the slide, smiling at one another. It didn't seem like anything could get better, and for the rest of their time out, they couldn't help but enjoy their time together. Just the three of them.
Kirstie fell asleep in the car on their way back, exhausted by the jam-packed day. The other two talked quietly, as Kirstie shivered slightly in her sleep. They'd been worried that the cold water could get her sick, as she'd always had a pretty weak immune system, but she seemed fine throughout the day. She woke up with a splitting headache, feeling the soft fabric under her body. The boys must have moved her somewhere, but she couldn't remember if they'd gone back to her apartment or that of Scomiche.
It took several moments for her to force herself up off the bed, hand to shield her eyes from the light as she crept into the living room to see Mitch asleep on the couch.
Scott waved at her when she entered, gesturing towards the couch. "I guess the cold was just too much for you guys. Go ahead and cuddle up with Mitch and I can get you guys some medicine."
Kirstie took his offer without hesitation, falling next to her friend. He smiled sleepily when he immediately knew who the smaller body belonged to. He pulled her back into his arms, holding her tightly to share warmth.
