Zeke wakes up confused, unaware of his surroundings.
Where am I? Where is Shao?
He sat up looking around him. He was alone.
Suddenly the memories from earlier fled in and he moved fast in a panic looking for his best friend.
"Shao? Shao." He ran through the room shouting.
Then he heard a moan coming from the bathroom.
Zeke burst through the door seeing Shao hunched over the toilet.
"Yo I'm cool. I'm okay. Just give me a-" He says shooing Zeke away before throwing up again.
"Fuck." He whispers, closing his eyes and bringing his head into his hands.
Zeke ignored Shao's suggestions and sat down on the floor next to him placing a hand on his shoulder.
Shao sank his head into the crook of his arm, his body in pain.
Zeke had never seen him in such agony.
"What happened man? Who did this?" Zeke asked, lowering his head closer to Shao.
Zeke's hand trailed over Shaolin's shoulder down his side.
It was then that he noticed the deep scratches embedded in Shao's skin.
His back was covered in them, some deep even drawing blood, others just scrapping the surface.
He looked as if he had been clawed by a wild animal.
Zeke's heart sank to his stomach as he became angry.
He grazed his hands over Shao's back, not believing what he was seeing.
"Ahh" Shao let out in pain at Zeke's touch, his head shot up, squeezing his eyes shut.
Zeke looked into Shao's eyes, they were all dark as if he had gone through hell.
It looked like he hadn't slept in days.
"Shaolin." Zeke barked, getting his attention.
Shao's head snapped to Zeke, he had never heard Zeke raise his voice at him like that.
"Who the fuck did this to you?" He belted through clenched teeth holding all his rage.
"Nobody Zeke. I-" Shao calmly spoke trying to ease Zeke's frustration.
His eyes soft like a child.
"Don't you fuckin lie to me."
Zeke's eyes became glossy as he stood up towering over his DJ.
"It was nobody. It was-. I was jus-." Shao stumbled on his words.
He couldn't look Zeke in the eyes.
Zeke nodded his head in frustration pacing out of the bathroom around the room.
Huffing around he took big breathes in and out trying to calm himself down.
Shao sighed, pulling himself up off the ground.
He stood up, but just barely.
He began to walk into the room where it all went down.
His steps were shaky as he grew nauseous.
He started to see stars, stumbling into the doorframe. He held on to the broken framework to stop himself from falling.
Zeke heard the crash and rushed over pulling Shao's arm over his shoulder to help stabilize him.
"Woah Woah. I got you buddy."
Zeke walked Shaolin over to the couch.
His body going limp as he sank into it.
Shao let out a huff, it was hard for him to breathe.
Zeke crouched down in front of Shaolin's legs, looking up into his eyes ready to get serious.
"What's going on?" Zeke stated calmly.
Shao Shifted in his seat leaning forward closer to Zeke.
"Books." He placed his hands over Zeke's.
"I already told you. I'm fi-"
"Bullshit." Zeke screamed standing up pushing Shao's hands away.
"Really Books. I'm okay."
Shao continued to stay calm brushing past the truth.
Zeke paced around the room growing more angry than ever.
"Are you crazy Shao? You was hangin from a chain when I found you. A fuckin chain." Zeke screamed getting up in his face.
Shaolin had fear in his eyes, he'd never seen Zeke act like this.
The more he talked the angrier he got.
"Your eyes was rollin back in your head and shit."
Zeke yelled kicking stuff in his way around the room.
Shaolin looked down at the ground in shame.
He didn't want to hear anything Zeke was saying.
He felt pain in his heart, the same pain Zeke felt seeing him like that.
Shaolin looked back up at Zeke as he continued to storm around the room.
It was then that he saw the pained expression on his face, his sweet innocent face, stained with tears and burning red.
Shaolin's heart broke into a million pieces.
He had caused all this pain. He didn't want to hurt Zeke with his own problems.
All the sudden, Zeke stopped yelling, crashing down next to Shao wrapping his arms around him.
"I thought you was dead Shao." He cried out burying his face into Shao's neck.
"I thought you was dead."
Tears fell down Shao's chest as Zeke continued to sob, struggling to catch his breath.
Shao didn't know how to act, no one had ever been so vulnerable in front of him like that.
He didn't deserve to be held by Zeke. He was no good. All he ever did was hurt him.
Zeke deserved better, so much better.
"Hey Books. I'm gonna be fine." Shao said, lifting his head up, looking him in the eyes.
Zeke looked at Shao surprised, he had never heard him talk that sweet to him.
Something about the soft tone of his voice calmed Zeke and he stopped crying.
"Look. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you like that. It won't happen again. Promise." He continues.
"Promise? How can you say that? It will happen again if you don't tell me who the fuck did this to you Shao. Stop playing games with me man. This shit ain't fuckin funny. Who was it? Was it that mother fucker Cadellac. I swear to god man I'm gonna kill em."
Zeke marched around and began to grab his things.
"Can't do this shit no more. Ain't nobody gonna touch my man ever again.I'm gonna go gi-" Zeke started before Shao grabbed him by the arm.
"Don't be silly Books. Cadillac would snap you in half without even thinkin. You ain't steppin no where near em. You hear me?" Shao raised his voice.
Zeke looked to Shao.
"Besides." Shao continued, before sitting back down.
He closed his hands together, looking down with a deep sigh.
"Cadillac had nothing to do with it." He spoke at almost a whisper.
