Some years into the past

"Nigga I bet ya you can't." Amina says as we walked inside of the store.

"I bet you I can." I say back as I mugged her. We both looked over at Jacs to see him looking down at his phone.

"Well go do it." Amina says as she pushed me in the direction of the girl.

I slowly but surely made my way over to her with a smirk on my face. I stood there standing beside her looking dumbfounded.

Don't even know why I even agreed to do this shit. I looked up to see she was now facing me with a confused look on her face. "You need some?" She asks.

"Ya number." I say with a smile plastered on my face. She only chuckled. "What if I don't got a phone?" She says as she looked me over.

"Then I'll just have to get ya one." I say as I shrugged my arms.

She only smiled. "Give me your phone." She says. I pulled my phone out of my back pocket and handed it to her.

She put her number in and handed it back to me. "I'll text ya." She says before walking off to the register.

I stood there with a smile on my face. Amina and Jacs walked over to me. Amina had a smile on her face. "Proud of ya." She says as she patted my back.

"Girl get the fuck on," Jacs says as he chuckled he then looked at me. "What she proud of you fa?" He asks as he looked around the store confused.

He was so into his phone like every other time he wasn't obvious to what was going on. "We made a deal and he got shorty number." Amina says.

He nodded his head then walked off to one of the isles. I made my way to a different isle also looking for some snacks to munch on.

I grabbed a bag of lays potato chips and some candy then I walked over to the drinks and got me a Pepsi.

I then met up with them at the registered and paid for everybody's things and then we left.

We walked out of the store and began walking down the sidewalk.

"Y'all wanna go to the park?"Amina asks. Jacs looked over at her then back at his phone. "What we going to the park for? We not kids." He says causing her to scrunch up her face. "I didn't say we were nigga, ya never to old to go to the park." She says as she mugged him.

I zoned out not really paying them any mind because all they did was argue. I honestly think they like each other everytime I bring it up they deny it but I know better.

"You heard me?" Jacs asks causing me to look over at him. "No, what you say?" I ask confused.

"We need to go take care of that remember?" He asks hitting at the little situation we had to talk care of for our uncle.

I nodded my head and looked over at Amina. "We gone walk you home." I say causing her to scrunch face and mugged us. "What I gotta go home for?" She asks looking over at Jacs.

He scoffed then grabbed her arm and dragged her off to the side. I turned my back to them and pulled my phone out of my back pocket and began scrolling through Twitter.

"Yeah, whatever you don't like me anyway so why you care?" She yelled out.

"I never said I didn't like you, I rarely say anything." He says.

"That's the point, how I'm pose to know how you feel bout me if you don't say nothing!" She says causing me to chuckle.

Yeah they like each other.
