The moment Jack left the room, Elsa sat back and closed her eyes. In the midst of the silence, she could hear her own trembling, shaky breath. It still felt unreal; it was one of those things that she never knew could happen to her, that something so incredibly vital, dangerous and extraordinary could happen to her. The idea of immortality clouded her mind so much, that having ice powers seemed normal.

She closed her eyes tighter, trying to prevent tears. The silence in her body absolutely scared her; her heart is no longer beating. She can no longer hear nor feel her heart beat against her chest. And it was terrifying.

Everything that Jack had told her moments ago flooded back into her mind. Everything about the death and birth of their baby, the vial, the Guardians and Jack having no choice than to let her die right in front of him to save her life...

She wanted to hate him, she really does. She wants to cry and scream and hate him for what he's done, not only for putting her in this position, but their baby. But at the same time, Elsa knew that she could never, ever hate him for this. If anything, Jack found a solution to the one thing she feared the most - prevent her from dying, and most importantly, prevent her from leaving him.

All her life, Elsa was never afraid of death. She knew that as a human, she would eventually die and join her mother and father's bodies underground. The thought of it never scared her, until she met Jack.

Jack is able to live forever, but she can't. After she had fallen in love with him, death became an enemy. She was terrified of the day she would leave him, the day death would come and take her life, separating them from each other forever. Death became something she has dreaded ever since, and that tremendous fear only increased when she found out she was pregnant with his baby because it meant leaving him and their child.

Elsa could never hate him for this. Never. She was dying, and he saved her life. He saved their baby's life.

The thought of her baby made her eyes fly right open. Basing off of Jack's words, she has been dead for two months, meaning that her baby boy is now two months old. She remembers...she remembers the day she gave birth right in this hospital room. She remembers the tiny cries that came from the bundle of blankets, the feelings that exploded in her heart when she saw her son's face for the first time, the feelings she got when her eyes locked with his.

There was nothing more that Elsa wanted than to see her son, but there was something deep inside of her that has been troubling her since before her death. She has never dealt with children the way Jack has. Jack was absolutely amazing when it came to children; he has told her endless stories about the children he has seen and met over the last hundred years, and even though those stories made her smile and warmed her heart, Elsa had to admit that she was jealous.

She would do anything to make children smile, to see them laugh when she made it snow, to feel what Jack felt whenever he used his powers. But she could remember the first time she used her powers in front of the public - people screamed, ran away, called her a monster...

Jack knows how to handle children; he's an expert at it. He has done it for over 300 years. But her? Nothing. And Elsa was worried that somehow, she would do something wrong, that she won't connect with her own child the way Jack does. She no longer has her parents anymore, and even though it's been a few years since their deaths, it still hurts. She knows what it feels like to not have a mother and father; its possibly one of the worst feelings. Elsa wants her baby to have both of his parents; she doesn't want their baby to go through what both she and Jack have been though in the past.

She exhaled heavily through her lips, trying to calm herself down, until something from the corner of her eye caught her attention - a mirror that hung on the far wall. She paused for a moment before carefully pushing herself off of the hospital bed. She gasped when her feet touched the ground; her head began to spin for a few seconds before going back to normal. Elsa exhaled deeply once more, reminding herself that she has been dead for two whole months, that this is her first time being back on two feet after two months, after becoming an immortal.
