One month soon passed.
That morning, Elsa spent the last two hours cleaning and organizing her baby's nursery, which had grown to be her most favorite room in her castle. Obviously, cleaning was not a job meant for the Queen, but Elsa didn't care; in fact, she loved the feeling of cleaning through the sunrise while her baby slept peacefully in his crib. If it was a job that had anything to do with taking care of her son, then she would do it in a heartbeat.
If someone were to ask her what it was like being a mother, there just wouldn't be enough time to respond. The feeling of being a mother was just incredible, and literally life changing. All the excruciating pain and hellbent tears that she had endured during her pregnancy was worth it, every single moment of it. Oliver is hers and Jack's heart and soul; a piece of each other combined into one. Words will never be enough to express the love she has for her darling baby boy.
"Oliver. Wake up sweetheart," Elsa cooed as stood beside her baby's crib. She spent the last couple of minutes just staring at him, but as much as she would love to spend the rest of her day looking at her little boy, she knew that it was time to wake up him.
Oliver was lying on his back while the blue blanket that he had been tucked in the night before was now sprawled at the edge of the crib. Elsa smiled; he looked so precious in his little pajamas and his little socks that Anna had dressed him in last night after they gave him a bath. And not to mention, the way his blonde hair was pointing in all directions after moving around in his sleep. His hair looked almost as unruly as Jack's, and Elsa couldn't help but fall in love with her baby more than she already does.
"It's time to wake up, baby," Elsa whispered sweetly, leaning her forearms on the crib to just stare at him lovingly.
She reached over and placed his blanket back over his body, unable to take her eyes off of him. She gently rubbed her baby's tummy, which made Oliver's eyes slowly open. But after blinking a few times, he closed his eyes again.
"Oliver," laughed Elsa. "You're just making this hard for me now."
Maybe it was due to the sound of Elsa's voice, but Oliver groggily opened his eyes up again, revealing his oh, so beautiful ice blue eyes that he got from Jack. Elsa felt her chest ache with love; she will never get tired of seeing her son's perfect little face. The baby yawned before instantly spotting Elsa. A handsome, but sleepy little smile appeared on his face when he saw his mother.
Elsa gasped playfully. "Good morning, sweetie," she whispered before reaching down to pick him up from his crib. She laughed gently as she nuzzled her nose against his cheek, before placing a soft kiss on his forehead.
Oliver yawned again. His eyes were half lidded as his tiny fingers held onto the fabric of Elsa's dress. But the little Prince managed to laugh that oh, so sweet laugh of his, the laugh that was like music to Elsa's ears.
Elsa smiled as she cradled her son against her chest. "I know you're tired, sweetheart, but it's time to go downstairs for breakfast. Daddy, aunt Anna and uncle Kristoff are all waiting to see you."
The baby lightly squirmed in his soft surroundings, nuzzling his face against his mother's chest. Elsa laughed again. The sight of her son's light blonde hair made her chest glow with love. It's just impossible to explain the love she felt for her baby.
As much as Elsa would love to spend the rest of her day standing in the nursery with her baby in her arms, she couldn't. So after getting Oliver out of his sleeping attire and into a fresh pair of clothes, she exited the nursery before heading downstairs to the dining hall, where she found Jack, Anna and Kristoff all sitting at the long, wooden dining table.
