His words echoed through the dark halls of the bank of evil."I'm the most villainous villain of all!" Vector yelled while skipping down to his fathers office. He shot out a fish from his new gun "sting-ray!" Gru was not impressed despite the sick play on words. He sighed as the stingray hit the floor with a wet slap. Vector scrambled to grab the flopping fish

"it's a work in progress" he called out.
"I'm sure it is" Gru replied, tryin not to smile at his antics.
They carry on strolling down the long corridor, each pillar getting more gruesome as they pass, every painting becoming more magnificent.

A dark shadow loomed over the boys as they neared the end of the hallway. They lifted their heads slowly, scanning the figure that stood before them.

"Boys" Mr Perkin's voice boomed
"Hello, sir" Gru groaned
Perkins motioned for the boys to enter his office. Vector strode in confidently. Gru followed.
"Take a seat" mr Perkins gestured to the large, cushioned chairs next to his desk. "And please, take a cookie, baked them just this morning" Vector swiped one up without hesitation. Gru squinted his eyes suspiciously but he took one anyway not wanting to upset the man that funds all his schemes. His face formed a smile as he placed it in his mouth. He would never have expected that mr Perkins was a good baker but the proof is in the pudding.. literally.

"So what do you think?" Mr Perkins asked.
"Not bad" Gru admitted "almost as good as my delicious jams and jellies." Mr Perkins smiled.
"Thank you Gru, that means a lot."  He grinned. Gru furrowed his eyebrows, curious about the bank owners sudden passion for baking.
"Sir, as great as your cookies are, can i ask why I'm actually here? I know I'm supposed to be working with Vector but you still haven't explained what we're supposed to be doing." Mr Perkins nodded and shuffled in his seat.
"Well Gru the cookies are actually part of the mission" Mr Perkins states with a smirk, pleased with his showmanship.  Gru remains confused Mr Perkins continues "have you ever heard of the bakery 'piece of cake'?" Gru nods
"Well we have reason to believe that they are hiding the most dangerous liquid in existence, the AX32 formula" Vector laughs at the sight of Gru's shocked face.
"The formula that inhibits emotional responses in adolescents?" Gru exclaimed.
Vector sighs "the formula that turns kids into robots, I don't think it's that bad. They're doing the world a favour."
"Exactly right," his father replied. "That's why we must have it, right now it is protected, but if we get ahold of it the whole world will be rid of those annoying brats and filled with hard workers. The way it should be."
"How do we do this?" Gru questions the banker.
"It's simple. You need to go undercover as workers at this bakery, lucky for us, they're hiring. You two will infiltrate this place find out all their ins and outs, including where they keep that formula."
"Why a bakery?" Vector asks as he leans back in his chair, adjusting his glasses.
"The darkest secrets are often hiding in the sweetest places. You'll soon find out there's more to this patisserie than meets the eye."
