Chapter 16 Goodbyes

They are keeping a secret from me. But why? Do I confront or do I keep quiet.

I walked back into Sky's room and sat on her bed while I watched Nash and Sky play. I can't get this out of my head.

"Hey Sav are you ok? You seem distracted." Nash said worryingly.

"Don't worry I'm fine." I said to him assuringly. He looked at me like he wasn't buying it but then just went back to playing.

"Oh by the way tonight we are having a family meal and also discussing something." Nash explained.

I nodded. My phone buzzed from inside my pocket. I got it out and looked at it. It was a text from Ryan.

Ryan: Hey girl!  Are we still on for tonight?

I frowned remembering the plans that we have tonight.

Savannah: Oml, I totally forgot. I have a dinner I have to go to tonight. Definitely tomorrow though!!

I typed and send. I got a message back agreeing about tomorrow.

"When is dinner?" I asked Nash.

"Umm in about an hour. My mom is already cooking. Sky if you want to go help mommy you can." he said. She ran out of her room and left both of us in a silent room.

"Is there something specific I have to wear or can it be what I'm wearing now?" I questioned looking at my outfit.

"What your wearing is fine. It's not a fancy dinner or anything." He assured me. I nodded and left sky's room to help Elizabeth with dinner.

It's already half way through dinner and it's been nice having everyone around.

"I have special news to tell you all. Most of you know but I just want to make it official. Cameron an I are officially moving down to California." Nash announced.

I am so shocked. So that was the secret. I get that he wants to get bigger in his career, but moving across the country? Does that mean we will never be together? Will he find another girl in California?

"Savannah what do you think about this?" Elizabeth said with a huge, but sad grin.

"I think it's a very big change. But if this is what you want, then follow your dreams I won't stop them." I wisely said trying not to stutter. To be honest I was sad. I didn't want him to leave.

"When are you leaving?" I asked with a smile.

"That's the crazy part. I'm leaving in a couple days." He said with the biggest grin on his face.

The past few days were a blur. They pretty much consisted of me trying to help pack Nash's things. Today was the day and I wasn't ready to say goodbye. Nash and I didn't really talk after the announcement. He was pretty much on his phone talking to people down in Cali. The only times we talk was when he asked me to help him pack.

My thoughts were interrupted by the door bell ringing. Cam came inside and everyone greeted him. We helped take every box down to the U-haul. Everyone had to say there final goodbyes but Skylynn was not happy. I gave my final hug to Nash and when we touched the spark we had was still there.

"Please come visit Sav. I will miss you so much." Nash said whispering into my ear.

I nodded and left before he could see me cry. I went inside and went to go find Skylynn. She was in her room alone crying. I picked her up and she gripped onto me.

"Why did he have to leave?" She cried. This made my heart break into a million pieces.

"I'm wondering the same thing Sky." I said to her still holding her. "If I take you to the park will it make you feel better?" I questioned.

She thought about the offer and then answered with a simple nod. My goals right now is to help make Sky feel better and for me not to break down in front of her.
