We just got out of school for fall break. We're driving to Detroit and I'm going to visit my aunt and grandma for 2 days and then we're getting back on the road and driving to St Louis where the rest of dads family is.
I am so tired of this lady being here. She is irritating as fuck. Like, she really need to go the fuck home to her house.
I'm in my room finishing up packing when Mimi and Amai come in.
Mimi: You ready sis?
Me: Yeah.
Amai: Why is that girl coming with us?
Me: I don't know. She get on my nerves.
Mimi: When is dad gone drop her?
Me: Hopefully soon. She give me bad vibes.
Mimi: Me too.
Somebody knocked on my door and then it opened.
Uncle Mike: Y'all ready?
Me: Yes.
Uncle Mike: Alright. Sit y'all bags at the top of the stairs then go get in the car.
We nod and Mimi and Amai head to their rooms to get their bags. I grabbed my suitcase, my duffel bag, and my purse. I made sure I had everything I needed and then left out my room. I sat my suitcase at the top of the stairs and then went down to get in the car.
I got in and sat next to Mimi. Jabari got in and sat next to her. Amai, Kali, and Kasim were behind us. Zion and Dakarai are riding in the truck with our uncles. I should have rode with them cause she in the car with us. Dad came and got in the truck.
We pulled off and got on the road.
It's like 7:00 at night. We should be getting there in the morning at like 10-11. As soon as he pulled off, I went to sleep.
When I woke up, we were halfway through the trip. It's like 3 in the morning. I looked over and Mimi was knocked out on my shoulder.
Me: Dad, can we stop somewhere? I gotta go to the bathroom.
Dad: Yeah. It's a rest stop coming up in a few minutes. He called my uncle Mike and told him we was stopping at the next rest stop.
When he pulled up, it was dark as fuck. The building was well lit but it was woods all around it.
My dad and I got out. We walked in and he stood outside the door while I went in. I went and came back out quick asf. The bathroom wasn't bad but it wasn't that clean either. I washed my hands and then we went to get back in the car.
I put my seatbelt back on and then dad pulled off. We got back on the road. I tried to go back to sleep but I couldn't so I got on my phone. I scrolled through Facebook and Instagram for a while and then played a couple games before I fell back asleep. When I woke back up, we were in Detroit. It was daylight and everybody else was woke too.
We checked into our hotel and everybody took their showers and got dressed for the day.
