Brianna POV

Today my dad is going to adopt 3 kids. I can't wait to have more siblings. I want more sisters and brothers. Zi and I are trying to get my dad to let us go with him today but I doubt if he will because he doesn't want us to miss any school.

I got up a lot earlier than usual this morning and I heard my dad up downstairs.

I decided to go down and talk to him.

I walked into the kitchen and he was sitting at the table drinking a cup of coffee. I sat down at the table.

Me: Good morning daddy.

He looked up at me.

Dad: Good morning baby girl. What you doing up this early?

Me: I don't know. I think I fell asleep early last night because I feel fully rested.

My dad nods.

Me: Daddy?

Dad: Hmm?

Me: Can me and Zi go with you today?

Dad: I was waiting on you to ask.

Me: Can we?

Dad: Yes y'all can.

Ayeee. I wasn't expecting him to say yeah

Dad: We're going at 8 so gone head and start getting ready for the day baby girl.

Me: Okay dad.

I went upstairs and stopped by Zi's room in my way to mine.

He was up watching the tv.

Me: Zi, dad said we can go with him today.

Zion: Stop playing. You know he don't let us miss school like that.

Me: I'm not lying and he really is. I just asked him this morning and he said we can go with him.

Zion: Bet. Aight get out.

Me: Mmcht. You always putting me out.

Zion: Cause this my room. Bye.

Me: Bye then.

He always be putting me out but be coming in my room.

I went in my room and did all my normal morning hygiene and then I went in my closet to find me some clothes to wear today.

I finished getting ready and put my hair up in a puffball.

When I was done, I went downstairs and my dad and Zi were ready to go.

We went and got in dad's car and headed to the place. I don't know where we're going exactly but its someplace downtown.

My dad pulled up to the group home.

He parked and then the three of us went inside.

My dad let the woman at the front know that he was here to adopt two girls and two boys.

She walked us into the room where all the kids were.

I looked around the room. There are so many kids here.

It was a couple who stood out though. This one girl was really quiet and over in the corner by herself.

Me: Dad, can I go talk to her?

He nods his head and I walk over to her.

She looks like she might be a year younger than me.

Me: Hi.
